In my case, it's been over 30 years and I still let them ruin my life. Everyone "teased" me about my weight, my dad, my grandparents, my brothers always, the kids at school. That scars you, I don't think people realize that.

My mil, always gives each one of my kids $20 every time she sees them. Which isn't often. maybe once every couple of months. But she constantly tells them on come stay the night with me, will go to the movies, and to the zoo, and all of this really cool stuff that we can't afford to do. Like she's trying to buy their love, and well my son will go for it in a heartbeat, but my dd just takes awhile to warm up to people, no matter how much you try to bribe her.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only shy person, sometimes it sure feels like it.
