Hey... I'm assuming you meant how often would I recommend doing 30ds? I think I did it 4-5 times a week... usually 4, and then cardio or running a couple times a week. I know what you mean about your body and mind missing exercise... I definitely went through that too recently!!!
Hi! Thanks for the comment on my latest blog post. I am all about fruit too--and sour things have been my favorite. I picked up some crisp tart apples at the store the other day and they are yummy! I think the fruit thing is fairly common. It has been fun to be pregnant--a whole new world for me! Gives me a new appreciation for my body too. It is getting towards the end though, and it can be a wee bit tiring physically and mentally. I am kind of ready to be done with it! :~) But, I know I will miss it though--it is fun to feel him kick and to be so close to him.
Oh, yes...I definitely can relate to desiring a "no drama" zone at work. I think our bodies could definitely need a break from exercise. I'm still a little scared to actually do it. Worried it will create a slippery slope into not working out like I used to. Guess I'll have to think about that deload idea a bit more before trying it.
Hi Hannah: Yes, I can relate to the crazy, hectic and chaotic schedule at times too. My encouragment to you is to keep your eye on your weight loss goals and your education goals as well...this will help remind you why you are doing all of this each time you get tired or want to give up. PERSISTENCE PAYS OFF! :)
Keep it going....you won't be sorry!! :)
Hey Hannah: Thanks for dropping by my page and leaving me the encouraging words.
Looks like Rachel is giving you some great advice on the weighing only once a week. Losing as much weight as I have I found that to be very motivating too. It was almost a race or exciting goal to see how much I could lose and my reward was to see the scale a lower number every week. It does work! :)
If I can be of any help, support or encouragement...please let me know.
Blessings & Success,
JEN

Good for you hiding the scale! It's tough, but you know you are doing the right thing to get where you want to be! Hope you had fun spinning today! That's something I have never done...maybe I should give it a try
My advice? Commit to weighing only once a week, same day every week. Trust me, after only a week or two of doing that it gets so much easier and you will literally not even think about it anymore. I think that's one of the reasons I was successful this time around, is only weighing once a week. For some reason it helped me SO much- I think not knowing what I weighed all week motivated me even more. You can do whatever you put your mind to!
I have heard from so many people that WW is great, but it just didn't work for me. I didn't like counting points. I don't even like counting calories. But I just had this feeling I was not eating enough because I just wasn't feeling right. It was huge to see how true that was! I will continue to use this site because my lifestyle is becoming so much more active. It's free, so it doesn't hurt to check it out! :)
Thanks! I was taking Cymbalta for a little less than a year. It seemed to help, but also made me a little blah. Can't really explain it. I stopped taking them when I found out I was pregnant and now don't want to go back. Fish oil is great along with B vitamins. I think the St John's Wort has helped a lot. I find if I take it every day, it keeps me level and happy. It's when I stop taking it for a while that I can slip back. It's just an herb, you can find it in the vitamin aisle of any drug store. Just read up about it 1st. You shouldn't take it if you are on birth control or any medication for depression.
The book is very informative. I found myself eating way to much processed garbage, just because it was low fat or sugar free. I am starting slowly, but hope that this will help my overall health in the long run. Once you look at what these chemicals can do to you, it's not that hard to stay away! :)
Thanks! I don't always feel like I am determined...like tonight when my husband showed me (via a picture he took while at work) that Dairy Queen has the brownie batter blizzards back! Absolutely one of my biggest weaknesses, especially during TOM. But I am trying so hard to stay strong through this! Your encouragement has been greatly appreciated :)
Thanks for the comment! We are totally exhausted after taking our 5 year old on all the fun rides. And I do mean all the fun ones! She tried her first real roller coaster today :) and of course she loved it! Found some great new Nike shoes that I wore around the mall. They were so comfy! The 5k race we are signing up for is going to be in September, so that gives me a few weeks to train!
Thanks for the comment. As for the journal I just went to Borders and bought the cutest writing journal I could, then every day I do a points column and a balance column and write down everything I ate...so not too technical or anything, but it works. I am sure you will find your prince!!! I guess it takes a lot of frogs to find the right one! I am a hopeless romantic too and the BF tells me a lot that I want my life to be a romantic movie and life isn't that way...well boo to him...we can all dream and hope! Have a great one!
