Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

Breakfast:

Granola Bar - 2 points

Lunch:

Salad - 4 points
Hummus w/ carrots - 1 point

Dinner:

Corn on the cob w/ a little butter - 3 points
Turkey sausage, squash, & zuchini kabob - 3 points
4 strawberries w/ a little low fat whipped cream - 1 point

And that was all I ate yesterday. I was so full all day and I didn't think that I should stuff myself just because I had more points left. I am trying to teach my body to eat only when it's hungry anyways. I probably would have eaten more but we went over to a friends house for a walk and then ended up talking and stayed until 11:00!

So that ends my first week on plan. My official weigh in is not until Thursday morning so I am trying not to worry about a number until then. I don't actually go to meetings but my friend and I are keeping each other accountable and decided Thursdays would be a better weigh in day than Mondays since you usually want to eat your extra 35 points over the weekend. Here are some things I've accomplished this week though:

I exersized 4 days out of 7
I stuck to my points each day
I incorporated more fruits and veggies into my meals
I drank a lot more water each day

I can't wait for weigh in to see if my hard work is starting to pay off! This weekend I finally did a grocery run and I spent about an hour yesterday afternoon cutting up fruits and veggies and pre-portioning snacks and getting stuff ready to bring lunches to work. I am still very much in the zone and am excited to see what this next week brings. I hope everyone else had a great 4th of July weekend!

Awesome! Looks like you were totally on track this week...good job! I love the reminder to pre-portion snacks, that helps so much when you need to grab something on the go. I stay home with my 5 kids and we are going to the park for picnics almost daily, or running around somewhere, so the pre-portioned snacks will really help! I had a great first week, too. I love that feeling, and hope to maintain it!
