I lost 2 pounds this week!!! Can I hear a Woot! Woot!?

So although we are on vacation & I have not been to the gym in over a week & we tasted all sorts of amazing food in NY City, & I ate some white pasta at Scott's Grandma's house....I lost 2 pounds this week! It has been 2 months since I had a loss this big! Last month was up & down & it was driving me nuts. I'm also not going to make it to the gym this week for the most part. But I'm ok with that, once Scott goes back to work back to my routine, as a matter of fact I'll me kicking my routine into high gear, by adding in some weight classes. I might also cut on some of the cardio now that I'm running more. I'm on week 5 of C25K!!! I really can't believe how well it is going.

So I'm totally into the clean eating philosophy & I'm loving it I'm glad that I saw results this week, that is just what I needed to show me it is working, even though I'm going beyond my points. Still not sure if I'm going to continue to count them or what. I think I will for a while & see how it goes. I can't wait to get the weights into this & see some good results in my shape. I'm enjoying nuts again! I stayed away from them with point counting because they were too high. I'm eating flax, nuts, & hemp seeds & wheat germ in my oatmeal everyday. I'm also drinking more water. I'm trying to really nourish myself with nutrients. I'm making a major conscious effort to pack a cooler when we are out & about & I'm making it a priority to eat every 2-3 hours. My is even eating more clean now too. Olivia never liked nuts, but now asks if I have any in my bag almost daily! I'd like to get my hands on the book for men for Scott.

I went beyond my original goal of 135, finally! So I re-set my ticker on my page to 125. That is more than I was hoping for but honestly I feel like 8.5 pounds is nothing! Also looking at Rachel's pictures I'm very inspired to continue on. If I begin to gain muscle, I'm willing to adjust that number, it really isn't about the number for me but how I look & feel standing in front of the mirror. I'm inspired to continue & very excited to get back to the gym!

I really am becoming more interested in perfecting the skin on my body. I have stretch marks that I'd love to find a cure for. Has anyone tried bio-oil? I'm interested in giving it a shot. Also I have lost so much volume in my breasts that there is too much skin & they sag. It makes me sad that I may not have the ideal body even once I reach my goal, unless I did something surgically which I would have never considered. But now I do find myself wondering about it, not for the size but for the firmness & skin issues, I'm a scaredy-cat though. Do you think that with weights & time that I'll see any results in the boob area? Thank god for good bras!

Have a great week!!!

Congrats on the loss! I have not used bio oil but my mom has and she said it didnt work as good as she thought and the way it was advertised but it did improve the look a little bit, she said its worth it, its inexpensive and worth a shot.. hey maybe it works different on different skin types. keep up the good work.

I hear you on the clean eating. I just finished "Master Your Metabolism" by Jillian Michaels which basically gives all of the science behind why eating whole, (organic if possible) foods totally beats out the chemical-laced, processed, fake foods that are constantly surrounding us. I am loving eating these "clean" foods and my body is too! I'm glad to hear that your body likes it too!

Congrats on the loss this week! 2 pounds is awesome!
I've heard a lot about clean eating. I don't strictly practice it, although I eat a lot of whole foods which I know are part of clean eating (lots of fruits/veggies, whole grains, lean protein, etc.. though I still eat cheese and other things that don't really fit with clean eating). I find that when I eat a lot of sugar or processed stuff, my body definitely shows it - I swear my belly looks larger and less toned! I'm sure that clean eating will be so beneficial for you and it's all healthy foods too!

Whoot Whoot!!

I'm so happy for you that you've found more motivation! I'm definitely going to check out the book. You're right, Rachel is such an inspiration .. so ARE YOU!! I'm also a bit concerned about the skin issue. I've read up a lot on Dry Brushing. It helps improve circulation in your skin, to help reverse and slow cellulite, stretch-marks, and improve firmness. I've been doing it for about a week before my showers, and I can honestly notice a difference in my skin tone already. It's softer and a bit firmer. I can't say anything about the stretch marks, but I hope it helps those for me too! I'm always looking for natural solutions. As much as I think Roni is amazing for the tummy tuck, it scares me!

Amen on the bras, lol. I do think that doing pectoral exercises will help that area too ;)
