Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

Well, my husand, daughter and I had a fun "in town" day shopping yesterday. I did well eating out for lunch at Chili's (only 11.5 pts.) and then my husband suggested Dairy Queen a few hours later. Hello?!? Of course I wanted to go. I typically just get a small cone or fudge bar, but they had a Girl Scout Thin Mint blizzards and I couldn't resist - refreshing minty goodness on a hot day, I needed it. For some crazy reason I had it in my mind that a small one was only 5 points (I was off in "Wishful Thinking Land"). Well I came home and went online to journal and found that I was off by 8.5 points. I reigned myself in and ate a sensible dinner and I had push-mowed our lawn for 90 minutes that morning, so I was only over by 5 pts. for the day.

THEN, I got up this morning and the scale said 161!!! What the heck?!?!? Apparantly there's a magic ingredient in blizzards that make you lose 2 pounds a day. Although I would thoroughly enjoy THAT diet, I will stick to the WW plan. What a difference a day makes, I guess. I can only hope that the scale reads the same on Wed. morning because that would put me back on track for 1.5 lb loss per week until goal day of Oct. 20th.

Side note: I have been very good today, but that blizzard is calling my name - luckily I live a good 25 minutes from the closest one ;~p

What a great surprise! Maybe you need that sugar to keep your body burning through the rest of the day!

I know what you mean about DQ. I live 10 minutes away and would eat a Blizzard everyday if I could to cool down because of the heat. I think all of that exercise mowing the lawn worked it off. Congrats on the 2 pounds!

LOL...maybe it's the Wendie Plan at work! I dunno - Blizzards are pretty yummy (my person fav is the cappuchino Heath) - but making a habit out of it would probably not be the best idea. ; )

Glad things worked out for you. As you said, just get right back into your groove and you'll be fine. That's why WW is great! You can be flexible to stray a bit and still get back on track easily.

There's something wrong with that! But congrats on the loss anyway. I've seen the ad for that on TV, but so far have managed to resist. Unfortunately, I live just a few minutes from DQ.
