Okay I know I have been MIA AGAIN but it’s really not my fault this time! My laptop died! It’s quite tragic. So I ordered a new computer online, had it shipped to my mom (because of course they wouldn’t ship it directly to me) and then my mom shipped it to me and I had to wait for it to get here. So long story short, I didn’t have access to the internet (except at work) for the past few weeks. It was quite aggravating but all in all worth it because my new computer is gorgeous. It’s one of those new macbooks and I am in love. But anyways, now that I have it, I will be posting regularly again :)
October was not a good month. I didn’t keep any of the goals I set (except not drinking) and just had a really horrible month. And not just with food and exercise – I was just really upset and homesick so overall it was just a bad month. But I’m feeling better now and am getting my life back on track. I weighed in yesterday at 206.8 – which is not bad seeing as I ate and ate and ate last month and only gained 3.4 pounds in the whole month (not sure how that happened).
I have actual things to work towards now so I know that’s really going to help. I’m going to Thailand for 2 weeks on January 4th so I definitely need to lose weight for that! It’s going to be pretty hot there so I’m going to need my summer clothes to fit again (right now a lot of my clothes aren’t fitting, which is a big problem seeing as I can’t get new ones here). I want to have a great vacation and not worry about my weight and how bad I look in pictures so I am determined to work some of this weight off. I have 8 weeks and I’m hoping to lose 15 to 20 pounds (I know, I’m aiming high). Also, my mom is coming to visit me for 10 days in mid-February so I want to lose weight for that. Overall I’m definitely feeling inspired again and can’t wait to get back in shape.
Here are my goals for the month:
1. No more emotional eating!! Try to focus only on eating when actually hungry.
2. Cut servings of refined grains to a maximum of 2 a day – right now I’m eating anywhere from 4 to 6 servings a day – ideally I would like to cut it to zero but it’s really hard to find whole grains here so 2 is going to have to do
3. Gym 5 days a week and a minimum of 30 minutes of activity every day.
Normally I have more goals but I think these are three good ones to focus on. When I accomplish them, I will have more for next month.
Anyways, I will catch up on all of your blogs as soon as I can. I’ve missed BTL!!
