Weigh Ins
I post my weigh ins on my blog at http://mommymeanderings.com/weigh-ins

Me & Weight
I've always had self image issues. In high school I was around 125lbs and a size 7-9. Then I thought I was fat. In college I think I gained the "freshman 15" x 2. When I met my husband in my junior year I was a size 11 and around 140-150 lbs. I guess living off of Mt. Dew and Snickers for 3 years will do that to you. I got married at age 22 in 1998. My wedding dress was a size 14. And it took some magic altering to make it fit. I have no idea what my weight was because I wasn't following it at the time. I honestly don't even remember if we had a scale or not. 4 years later after the birth of my son I was around 200 lbs. I can't even blame that on baby weight because I actually managed to maintain or lose weight during my pregnancy. A year after he was born I started WW for the first time at 209 lbs. I followed it for about 7 months. I hit a plateau at 175 lbs. After about a month or so I gave up. See where this is going? I bet you can guess what happened. In 2006 we decided it was time to add to our family. After a year of fertility issues I tried WW again in May 2007 this time weighing my highest ever 226 lbs. After 8 weeks I lost 15 lbs and found out I was pregnant. I truly believe the weight loss is what did it. After my daughter was born, I weighed 210. Again not really gaining much during the pregnancy, and all of it was taken off as soon as she was born. I briefly tried WW again in Oct. 2008, but had to take a break due to gallbladder issues. So now I'm starting again. My daughter will be a year old in a week. I'm at 214.2 lbs. It is time to lose this weight once and for all. I'm past the pregnancy & ttc part of my life. It is now to move onto the new and fit part.

It's after 1 am

and I'm still up. Want to know what I'm doing? Surfing for cookie recipes. That is a surefire way to know that TOM is knocking on the door. The toddler is still wide awake and having fun in the other room. I can't wait for her to get over this cold and teething combo. I can feel the start of a cold coming on. I've had post nasal drip and a sore throat all day. I've been sucking down vegetable juice and tea to help soothe it.

Today would probably fall under the "fail" category as far as food is… Continue

It's been a month?

Wow I hadn't realized that I haven't posted in nearly a month. I always mean to write something, but something comes up and I forget.

So for the past month what has been going on? I hit a new all time low weight about 1 1/2 weeks ago at 170.4. I'm so close to being in the overweight BMI category. All I need is to be is 169. I can't remember the last time I've been 160-anything. I think my scale jumped over those numbers many, many years ago. I swear I remember hovering around 140/150. Then the… Continue

The path to hell is paved with pretzels

The whole day has been an off day. I woke up with a stomach ache so I wasn't able to get my run in first thing like I had planned. I ate a very small breakfast of only an English muffin. I started to feel better so decided to get on the treadmill. I did 3 miles in 46 minutes. The whole time I felt completely blah. I hate to do any activity after I've eaten. The food just sits in my stomach like a lead weight.

Today is a day that I just want to eat. Not because I'm hungry, not because I'm upset.… Continue

I love No More Trouble Zones! But since I also don't have the time in the morning for the whole thing, I just do the first 4 or 5 circuits, or I may skip over one of them to move ahead. I like to think of it as a build-your-own workout depending on…
