I don't know why but when the kitchen is a mess it makes the whole house feel dirty. My kids are 10, 5, 2. I have started making the older ones pick up before they go to bed 5-10 things in each room me and the hubby do it too. I seem to want to clean more when everyone is doing it too. Or I have tried just cleaning for 1 hour a day. I start with what needs the most attention. I just clean really fast for that hour and then I move onto something else. I hate to feel like all I did in a day is clean and then the house looks messy again by the night time. Hope this helps. House projects like you are doing make it rough to keep things picked up. Maybe you could pack some of the toys in boxes and just leave out their favorite ones.

I'm doing well though by not succumbing to my cravings (probably because I don't keep anything in the house and would have to drag the kids a few miles away to the store to buy junk). There are benefits to country living lol..I think that there HAS to be an AP tradeoff for all that cleaning and chasing kids lol. Sometimes I think that as much walking as I do at the hospital, it's sort of a break from my household stuff. Saying that my son is active is an understatement lol.

I keep sandwich stuff for her if she disagrees with the family meal. I just try to make sure she has options so I don't feel like I'm forcing anything on her.

Hey, everyone. I know, I know, it's been so long since I posted, but things have just been horrible.
The next time I even mention remodeling anything, someone slap me upside the head with a 2x4. It took us a month to get our carpet. There were so many problems. Well, the wedding reception bbq wasn't horrible. Wasn't a lot of fun for me either, my 11 month old dd, would not let me put her down. It was outside, and for those of you who don't know, it gets might hot in Texas in the summer and it was pretty miserable holding her for 3 hours. She was so fussy and wouldn't take a nap. Oh what a horrible day, food wise.

I am not a social person. I am extremely shy, always have been. I would easily take a 0 in school, instead of getting up to read my report, paper, poem, whatever in front of the class. Sorry, I've been MIA for so long. It's amazing how little you can get done with three small kids. It's seems like I'm always so busy but never get anything accomplished. No matter how much laundry I do, dishes I wash, toys I pick up, floors I sweep/vacuum, there is always more. It's just never ending and sometimes it gets so tiresome. June 23, 2008

Very short post, my parents are still in town. I hear my dad running the saw even as I type.

Yesterday was not a good day. Did not eat healthy and by the end of the day was just chomping on anything I could find. I'm a total emotional eater and having my parents here is just very stressful for me. I'm really making a better effort today. I'm still snacking a little too much, but at least it's on grapes and bananas and such and not cake and cookies and ice cream like it was yesterday.
