About Me:
I'm married with no kids (but my 2 puppies are my BABIES!!!) and living in Phoenix, AZ. I've been overweight my whole life and have been trying really hard the last 5 years or so to get this weight off, but have issues. My brain desperately wants to lose weight, but my emotions can't seem to let go of the 'yummy' food. =\

My hubby and I are planning to have kids at some point, so I'd really like to be at my goal weight before then so I can set a good example for them. I WANT to eat healthy, natural, unprocessed foods cooked from scratch, but my emotions want the junky comfort foods that I grew up with. I WANT to run, hike, bike, do yoga, take classes, etc, but my motivation is LACKING! I'm a social exerciser and lost my workout buddy last November. Anyone in the Phoenix area want to run, hike, bike or do yoga? =P

That being said, how does a 20-something lose weight while still having a social life? Do I have to give up drinking and going out altogether? Making all this work is so hard!

Goals:
5% goal - 226 lbs (met 04/08/09)
10% goal - 215 lbs
Under 200 - 199.x lbs
Overweight BMI - 196.5 lbs
Normal BMI - 164 lbs
WW Goal - 160 lbs
Plan of Choice:
Low Fat, High Fiber, Weight Watchers
Workout Philosophy:
I loath exercice, I only exercise because I have to

OMG... finally!

Good WI!

This week I lost 1.4 lbs, which means I met my 5% goal! =) I know exactly what I did this week to get a decent loss, so let's hope I can keep that up this next week. One of my friends (who is doing the WW@work program with me ) and I decided that we were going to do a girl's day at the spa (mani's and pedi's anyone??) when we hit our 10% goal. Doing well this week...

So I'm actually doing pretty decent this week. I was on point most days and only went over on Sunday (although it was over by a lot!). As long as I keep tonight under control, my weigh-in tomorrow should be decent. I'm hoping to hit my 5% goal tomorrow at WI. Last week I was at 11.4 lbs lost and my 5% is 12 lbs. I should have it in the bag, but you know how weight can be a funny thing sometimes. =\

Now where was I?

It's been a week since I last posted, but I've been busy with life. WI yesterday was ok - lost 0.2 lbs. That was basically what I was expecting because my eating fell apart over the weekend. I have the HARDEST time keeping it under control over the weekend. I've been doing good this week so far, so cross your fingers for me for this weekend! It shouldn't be THAT bad though because I'm closing at my second job Saturday night, so that will mean no going out or eating out. Whew, I do so much better… Continue

Hello! Thank you so much for your kind encouraging words. I think that's why this blog is so helpful because you get to vent, have accountability for your actions and once in a while you hear encouraging words from people who more closely understand what you're going through. I feel better today especially since I have possibly found a loophole that I can use to get my liscence and finally start working!!! which I'm actually gonna blog about now haha. Thanks again, I didn't expect anyone to actually read my ranting! We're around the same age and we seem to have the same issues (emotional eating, holding onto comfort food, lacking motivation to exercise) I look forward to keeping in touch on here and hopefully helping each other through this some way or another.
