About Me:
I'm a 44 yr old married mother of 2 teenagers (age 19 & 17). I've battled my weight for the last 23 yrs. I eat when I'm happy, sad, depressed and stressed. I've always had a large appetite. I love food - all types - healthy and junk food. I'm restarting my weight-loss, healthy eating lifestyle again. My goal is to lose 45 LBS by my 45th birthday, 7/30/09. Wish me luck.

I'm back and more determined than ever...

I knew I had another bad week. I knew I gained but I didn't know how much. As much as I didn't want to, I had to weigh-in and face the music. I disappointed myself by caving to my life's pressures and turning to junk food to console me. You would think I'd learn my lesson by now. In the end the junk food may taste good but it makes you feel worse, both physically and emotionally. Thanks for everyone's concern and encouragement. I need to remember - one day at a time, one meal at a time.

When it rains, it pours...

Long story short, mother fell at work, taken to hospital by squad - gash in the arm, stitches and black eye. Took my 83 yr old Grandmother (who lives with me) to ER on advice of her dr. She was FINALLY admitted to the hospital at 9:30 PM this evening. I'm exhausted and if things couldn't get worse - some time today the sneezing and nasal congestion started and now I have a sore thoat and I totally blew my eating today. Weekend update

This weekend has been a roller coaster ride. I've experienced pride, love, laughter, stress, sadness and grief. I am VERY proud of my son. He was in his last high musical this weekend. I love watching him on stage. You can see the enjoyment on his face as he performs. It's sad because he's my youngest and graduating HS in May. We got bad news on Thursday, a friend passed away. Slow and steady wins the race

Today was weigh-in day. I lost 1 LB !! I am very happy with my results so far. I need to step up my exercise efforts if I'm going to hit my goal of 45 LBS by my 45th birthday (7/30/09). I find it difficult to make exercise a part of my daily routine.

I getting by and am optimistic that things willl come around in time. I guess I am now truly experiencing all of life's offerrings and often feel that with challenges you always come out stronger.... now to think that before I thought life was all about candy and roses... :) LOL
