About Me:
I am 38 married to a wonderful, supportive man. We have one fur baby Remy, who has diabetes. He is 15 years old. I will post a photo of him.

I work for a Seminary that has conference facilities. I am the Hospitality & Event Coordinator. I coordinate weddings, seminars, retreats, parties, reunions, etc. Fun job, but my weight is getting in the way of me enjoying it more. People come and meet me for tours, etc. and I always feel like they are sizing me up. I know it's in my head, but I still want to look good and represent where I work.

I enjoy hanging out with my friends, going to movies/restaurants, reading and am a big fan of paper crafting. I love ink, stamps, paper, etc.

I have always been overweight. I do not have children so there is no baby fat for me. Just laziness and not really caring. I always hide from photos and I do not have any full length mirrors in my home.

I have a great support system. My mother has always wanted me to loose weight so she is very happy that I am taking this seriously. My brother is a skinny thing and can eat whatever he likes. He is a aspiring Vegan. My best friend is on WW and goes every week to meetings. I am not ready for that step yet. She has been a great help getting me on track with the WW system. Last but not least, My husband. He is awesome. He is on the program with me. He needs to loose about 20-25 pounds. He won't be on long. Men seem to loose weight much faster.

My Weight Loss Mini Goals and Rewards

Short Term Goals:
1.) Zumba everyday
2.) Post daily on my blog
3.) No snacks after 7pm
4.) I will not watch TV while eating (need to focus on what I am eating and eat slowly)

1st Goal: 210 by 4/1/09
2nd Goal: 170 by 8/1/09
3rd Goal: 140 by 12/1/09

Weight Obsessed

Since losing a little over three pounds last week, I have become weight obsessed. Not to the point that I don't follow wieght watchers. I still am and use WW website to journal my food on a daily basis. (I think I will continue to post my intake of food here as well. Just to constantly keep it in my face.) I just constantly think, read, watch TV about weight loss and exercise. I am doing Zumba once a day and might up that so I can lose more weight. Sunday weigh in

Wasn't too bad. I am down 3.6 pounds. Zumba is great!

I came across a website yesterday - www.dlife.com. Since I want to start tracking my husband's carbs in addition to calorie, fat and fiber, this site seems to have great nutritional breakdowns and some tasty recipes.


Breakfast
one cup cheerios
1/3 cup 2% milk
one small banana
One slice of whole wheat toast with one cube of laughing cow cheese

Lunch
one cup pasta
2 tablespoons lite italian dressing
4oz burger patty

Dinner

Diabetes - Weight Watchers

My husband was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. The doctor wants my husband to attend three classes. The first one is this morning and it reviews how to check blood sugar level, nutritition, etc. . I signed up for WW online so I can review the receipes they have on their site for diabetes as well as keep myself on track with points. My husband also has ulcerative colitis and needs to stay away from high fiber foods and dairy.

one corn vita muffin top

Lunch
two slices whole wheat, two slices of swiss, four pieces of pastrami, mustard

Dinner
Two tablespoons of general tso "chicken" (vegan from whole foods)
Two tablespoons of sweet and sour "chicken" (vegan from whole foods)
1/2 cup of garlic green beans

Focus went out the window

I think that about sums it up! This weekend didn't start out too good as mentioned on my last post. On Sunday I had scheduled a photo shoot for one of my new caterers for advertising. Very good food. I ate many things. Then I ended up grabbing two slices of pizza because it was a long day and I was hungry when I got home and didn't want to cook. Hi Rita! I had to make a new profile because the old profile wouldn't let me log on. Yeah, the loose skin-sometimes I play with it. I am seeing surgery in the future. It doesn't seem like you have a lot to lose compared to me. You might be spared!

I don't know where the cruise will be to--somewhere in the Caribbean. I'd rather just fly to Jamaica, but I am a poor student. Where was your cruise?

Don't worry about it girl!! You can get back on track, I know you can. Just think about how much better you'll feel with that weight gone.

I can definitely relate though. some weeks i'm a super healthy person, and then other times I could sit down and eat a whole pizza. haha. Stay strong, and thank you for your support, always! =)
