About Me:
I am currently a senior in college studying Early Childhood Psychology. I have no idea what I want to do with that when I “grow up” but I am sure I can manage to find something! Through my whole life I have always been the bigger girl in class and I hated it since as far back as I can remember.
At the beginning of 2008 I decided it was my time to start losing weight. A friend and I talked about it and decided it was time. I worked out six times a week if not more and ate a low fat diet/weight watchers. I never attended a meeting, but had the support of a friend, boyfriend and many other loves ones. Starting at 234 pounds on January 1, 2008 and weighing in at 189 on May 6 2008 I thought that I had GREAT amounts of success and really was proud.

Well then came summer and I began to work 40+ hours a week and found that exercise wasnt as easy anymore, and it was easier to go without. Not too smart of a choice. I then managed to stay the same all summer long. September 2008 rolled around and I thought I knew how to do it all. I started school again and from September to December managed to gain about 10 pounds. I dont have it down yet and still have lots to learn!

Now January 2009 I am starting out again. Right now I am working on getting my eating back in order, remembering how much I love to cook up new low fat recipes, and getting back into the idea of exercise. This time is harder because I dont have a friend to push me to the gym. My goal is to be down 30 pounds by May 2nd, my college graduation! Wish me luck!

My life is finally back to normal!

FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY I can sleep normal hours, and not spend 8+ hours a day working on projects. It was the Early Childhood Conference this past weekend and now that its over, I can function again. I am sick of eating gronola bars, sandwich thins and split pea soup! Split Pea Soup....recipe!

This is one of my favorite soups currently. I have made it probably six times in the last three months! Its SUPER filling, super easy and rich even though nothing rich is in it! I eat it for lunch most of the time and it really does fill me up!

Note to self....Pep Talk

WHY have you waited sooo long to get back on program? You love love love the 30 day shred because its short, fast, and predictable. Why have you also waited so long to try a class at the YMCA, you loved "strong bodies" because you dont sweat much at that class. Wanting to eat out....our solution!

I hate eating out because of the money and calories/fat. But I love eating out because its sooo good, easy, and fun. I'm so glad you are loving the 30DS, it is the best!! I will just copy to you what I wrote for Erica, because she wondered the same thing. This is just what I did, and I was doing it 4-5 times a week with no other exercise: Level 1- two weeks. Level 2- seven weeks. Level 3- five weeks. I basically waited to move on until I could do the whole thing with relative ease. Not that it was easy, but I could get through every single thing on the video and not doing the modified version. When some of the moves would get easy but the others were still hard, I would just try to do those moves as fast and as intense as I could, and that would make them more challenging. What lb weights are you using?

Hey Michele. Thanks for commenting on my bicycle post. We got mountain bikes. I would love to ride to a farmers market, unfortunately there isn't a close one nearby w/o having to get out on a too busy road (hwy or interstate) to get to one. We only got to ride the first day so far. I can't wait to get out to ride again if all this rain we have had the past two days would go away. I shouldn't be complaining though because we really need some rain.

Mmm.. I'm still getting donuts, usually about 2 a week. Those bagels do sound good!!! They are half the points of my donuts too.
