About Me:
I'm 31 years old and I love to eat. I enjoy food. Alot of times food was my other half. I have had a love affair with food since I could remember. Food was the best kind of boyfriend. It was always there for me and never talked back or argued (only if it was the burrito surpreme from Taco Bell) Food always made me feel good. I'm a self diganosed "Emotional Eater." I eat mostly when I'm sad or angry. The best times are at celebrations - I never met an ice cream cake I didn't like. I've always struggled with my weight. I was diagnosied at the age of nine with Juvenile Rheumatiod Arthitis (JRA) was placed on steroids and never really lost the baby fat. The medications are now gone but the extra weight stayed. Until one day in the summer of 2000, I joined Weight Watchers and I lost 50 lbs by February 2001. But as things go - I was up and down. I realized something this past summer 2007 - WEIGHT WATCHERs worked! So I hopped aboard and gave it another shot. At the start of this blog - I'm down about 30lbs and I've never felt better. I've joined the gym (something I NEVER thought I would do - I LOVE IT!) You know things are going good when you fit in those "skinny" jeans and your thighs don't rub together when you walk. Past couple weeks - i've hit a plateau so I've decide to make a blog and share my story with you. Thanks Tanya!

The Stats
*Highest Weight: 205 lbs (201.4 lbs my weight watcher start weight).
*Goal weight: 146 lbs - Well according to WW and my height, my weight should be 135-145. I reached 10% now to get to 150. I'll see how I feel @ 145 then maybe I would like to stay around 140lbs. Heck I was happy and 150-160. I actually want to keep some of my curves. ;)

Overall - I love my junk food but I would rather be healthy and this is the best way to do it. EVERY JOURNEY STARTS WITH A SINGLE STEP, I just need to put one foot forward and keep taking them.

My Before & "After" - (I say after in quotes because my journey is not finished. Should have called it my "so far".


Take note in my Before - I'm hugging an oversized bottle of Coca-Cola because I love that stuff, that's about 30 lbs ago and in my "After" I'm standing proud with my niece - because I feel great!

I plan on being there. Ken was off this week and that messed up my schedule too. I will be there. It's been better. Not great, but better.

You look great! Congratulations and keep up the good work :) You and I are the same age and (... I gather from your goal stats ...) around the same height (5ft5-ish?), but you're much further along the journey than yours truly. Here's hoping to follow into your dainty footsteps :)

As of right now, I'm not going to be there Thursday due to a work appointment. But I think I'm gonna try to reschedule. Not only does it interfere with WW, but also with the fireworks up my way. Hope you are feeling better. I was worried about ya! Have a good week.

When I first lost 60 pounds with Weight Watchers about 8 years ago, I lost it in about 8 months. Everything seemed to click perfectly then. Now I am 40, so sometimes I think it could be my age that it is taking longer. And I've run 2 marathons and a half marathon in the last few years, and all the while I didn't lose a pound! (But, I was eating whatever I wanted too). So now, I want to add exercise and eating right together! We'll see how it goes! Great job though!!!
