Soooo..are PB and Cereal trigger foods for you? If they are and you eliminated them from your life, do you think you would develop another trigger food? I didn't think I had any trigger foods until my husband bought pull'n'peels and tootsie rolls at…

About Me:
Since a rapid 20 lb gain in university, I have had a negative relationship with food. My weight has gone up and down for the past 3 years, and though I'm not hugely overweight, I know the constant fluctuation is horribly unhealthy.

As of late my attitude seems to be "all or nothing". I'm generally a very healthy eater, but as soon as I have something sugary, I go out of control and I can't stop. I want to break this self-sabotage cycle.

Day 4 &Day 3- I eat when i'm anxious/impatient

The past 2 days have been rough. Sunday, I spent all day doing hard physical work and I just could not satisfy my hunger. I woke up, had a bowl of cereal, and then worked out (sprints, strength, then a short run after) then ate 2 eggs. Started working at 10, then took a break at 130 for lunch (I had lasagna at a restaurant and only ate half the slice) After work, I finished the other half of the slice for dinner, but still had a growling stomach so i had a yogurt, followed by a massive bowl of c… Continue

Today was a weird day. Some very weird/complicated stuff happened with the organization that im working with here, and I kind of ate like i do when im stressed. That being said, i still stayed within a decent number of calories- just not an overly nutritious day, and ate a lot of stuff that i normally would not.

spoke too soon.

i was trying to sleep, and was so hungry that i couldnt sleep, got up, and had the biggest midnight snack known to man.

i ate my leftovers from dinner (about 400) and a massive bowl of cereal (prob another 300) making todays cals about 2200. Ick, Obviously should have been full after the pasta, but was just so hungry.

I will now set my alarm for a morning workout, even though i was planning on resting tomorrow.

If only i wouldve been able to fall asleep...

ahh well, whats one (or two) bad da… Continue

Day 6, these posts must be getting redundant for those who are on here regularly

Day 6 went ok. Food wise, I was excellent. I ate dinner out tonight, only ate half of my portion, and resisted the urge to eat it all at night (like actually had container in hand, contemplating, then decided agaist it).

FJ
cereal 300
eggs 160
tuna sammy 250
carrots 30
yougrt 80
1 cup spaghetti bolognese 550
granola 85

As for exercise, I did 5 minutes of sprints, then strength for about 20 minutes, then a 10 minute hard run in the morning. It was hot, and i felt horrible and tired. After this,… Continue

Day 7, the easiest day, an only 6 more to go

Today, I was a diet rockstar.

I was hungry a lot earlier in the day thanks to a hard run this morning, but i kept having small reasonable snacks until the hunger left me alone. I had eaten lunch by11:15, which is usually a bad sign as i then require a lunch #2 at 230ish, but i was good with just a yogurt to hold me over until dinner. i made a super healthy dinner of cactus fajitas and haven't done any nighttime snacking! YES MOMENTUM YES!

FJ
cereal w skim 230
yogurt 80
apple 80
torillas w/ egg… Continue

Yes, I tend to be the same way. Stress = overeating...no trigger foods necessary. Keep on keeping on! You'll be home in no time! I don't feel like I'm kicking butt; continuing to remind myself that I'm ok with maintenance/minimal losses for now. Gotta store up that mental energy for the next wave.

I'm alright, thanks... I'm all work and study at the moment, though, which means HIGH stress and stupid decisions... I need to prioritize better. I'm thinking my health must be number 1...
how about u?

Glad to see you back in action! I'm a sucker for those small, checkable goals. It may be tedious for some folks, but it's been my ticket to success. Good luck this week! About to read your post...

Thanks for the comment Laura, it's a challenge to just get back OP and not have all or nothing, well I blew it kind of thinking, isn't it? Good luck with your battle with this issue :-) We can do it!

Thanks for the comment...I love and hate #2 myself... but its just got to be done ya know? I can't wait until "I feel like it" or "I have time to do it"...i mean a commercial break is the perfect time to do a set or two of crunches!

:) :) No more sub-par oranges-- I will pack something from home.. I've blown through all but 8 points for today (not counting Flex--trying to stay away from those, since the fiance and I are going with friends to an amusement park tomorrow) so I'm going to be stuck with bottled water and chewing gum on campus tonight, but I'm convinced that that Smart Ones sundaes are made by God himself. :) :)
