I like your thinking. Working on distance instead of time is a great way to go. My run last night was good. 2.65 miles...1/2 with my sister, 1/2 on my own. Tonight is my night off. Tomorrow is another run, and swimming on Friday.

I was actually at the store yesterday buying some more moleskin and saw that stuff - glide. I didn't really pay much attention to it, but now that you say your sister swears by it, I may head back and try some. Thanks for the tip!

That's the only reason I go down to Fargo on weekend road trips with my sister...is all about the Krispy Kreme doughnuts!!! LOL

How am I feeling....well the sinus stuff has lifted and I'm feeling much better. I'm sure it was the full combination of things my naturopath had me doing because within a week of starting it I was better. Hot Yoga...yeah I'm glad to hear you loved it. Bev and I went friday and I hope to go again this friday. I've never tried any other kind of yoga but will soon as I just borrowed one of her vhs tapes to try. I don't imagine I'll like it as much though.

Yep it looks like I'll be giving the pita pizza a try. Funny thing was that last night after eating a slice of the pizza I turned to Derek and said "I swear Pizza Hotline tastes better than this". lol. I still have yet to give Mongos a try. It's on my list of places to go. lol. Maybe if you guys plan a trip to the Peg we can all go together!

Sorry Kim, I just read your response to Rachel's blog and laughed becasue it was basically like my response.
I too just finished my 8 week sessin with the Running Room and loved it. It has made me a runner as well! Had my first 5K race yesterday and loved it, now I am hooked for sure!
Anyway just thought it was cool that someone else recommended the Running Room.
By the way love your wedding pictures...very beautiful!

holy crap that arc machine looks scary. lol. so it makes your butt and hips smaller eh? I need one!!! lol. And easy on the knees is good too! Sometimes I wished our gym had a womens only and a coed...cripes I just wish it was bigger no matter what because I hate waiting for machines. I just try to go at non-peak times. I never used to feel comfortable doing anything besides the treadmill, elliptical, and bike but when I had a trainer this past summer she made me do all sorts of stuff that I would have NEVER done in a million years for fear that I'd look like a fool. I simply stick to the mindframe I just don't care if/what they are thinking....I care more that I don't like being overweight so I'm gonna push myself to do it regardless of what I look like. Well except running...I so desperately want to start running but I'm terrified for a couple reasons. I also was wondering if you had thought about splitting up your flex points btw. the 7 days and adding them onto your daily total rather than saving them for one big event? Maybe that would make it a little easier to get through the day?

Oh Kim. Your so sweet. If only I could remember to love myself no matter what that number on the scale is. Devilish thing it is to hold so much control over a person. And I couldn't help but laugh....it's good to know I'm human and I'm not the only one that has a hard time ~ so I won't think any less of you!

I went for a run....

So last night I went for my first run in over a year. I was pretty nervous. But I stretched for quite awhile and then my husband and I took a shot at it. I ran 1.35 miles in 15.37 min. Not the greatest milage or speed. Average pace was about 11:30. But I will take it. My leg was good. No pain. Whoo hooo. I did Run 2 minutes walk 1 minute 3 times, then a run 1.5 minute and walk one minute, then run 3.5 minutes to get me home. It was kinda iratic, my husbands Asthma was acting up. Going for a run...and a little scared about it!

So, as the title says... I am going for a run tonight. And to be honest I am more than a little scared of it. I am starting out really small. I am going to go with 1 minute run, 1 minute walk. I am a bad wife!

And it is weigh in day. I will get to the bad wife part as it kinda ties to the weigh in. I gained 1.3 lbs. Not as bad I thought. But still not good. I was kinda thinking I was going to see a 5 lbs gain. I was good all week with eating, but then the weekend hit. I had planned on drinking on Saturday night. I was preparing myself.
