About Me:
I'm a 31 year old Mom of 3. At my heaviest, I weighed 218lbs. I've just recently re-joined WW and now at 186.6 lbs, I hope to lose 30lbs by Christmas.

I had been training for a 5km race but in early July, my right knee got inflamed somehow and it's in ROUGH shape! I'm struggling to find exercises that I can do to slowly build back up to running. My goal was to do a 10km clinic starting on Aug 23rd and then in Oct/Nov start training for a half marathon. Now, I just want to be able to run 5km again without pain. So right now, I'm doing more yoga, I bought the 30 Day Shred DVD and I'm going back to spin class. I'm hoping those activities will get me back on pace! :)

So I feel like I dominate your wall. Sorry! Thanks for the comment! You'll get back on track. Really, you haven't even fallen off--you're still here!!! Give yourself props! One workout at a time. Everyday I don't want to go to the gym, but I just keep telling myself I don't have to love it, I just have to go. So I pack my gym bag in the morning and set my mind to autopilot after work and go straight to the gym (do not pass go, do not collect $200...yes, I am comparing gym time toward going to jail in monopoly. How motivating am I?? lol). How is your knee?

Oh my! It does sound like you've been very, very busy. It's so tough to balance work, health, and family (and I don't even have kids yet!). It's great that you did spin this week. Do what you can when you can as Roni always says. Things are ok. I'm getting into a groove at the gym, but I just can't handle indoor cardio for more than 40 minutes at this point. It's so boring and doesn't torch the calories near as much as an outdoor run for me. So...I'm expecting my weight losses to be smaller until my attitude toward indoor cardio changes or until Spring is here (lol). My latest strategy is to speed walk on the treadmill at high inclines so I can read while I go. We'll see how that works. On my way to the gym now...have a great run this weekend!

Woohoo on the come back to running! I'm sorry to hear that you are sick! That would certainly kill any of my motivation to work out. Sounds like you're doing more than hoping, you're planning, lady! You've planned the workouts, you've planned the stockpile of fruits and veggies. Should be a great week!!! Let's do it!

Hi Kerri! How did 30DS go last night? My exercise goals this week are to weight lift 3x, log 15 miles on my Nike+, and try my Nike Training Club iPhone app once. I lifted yesterday and got in 6.25 miles. Now we can hold each other accountable and get back on the horse this week. Have fun spinning tonight!

Hi Kerri! Thank you SO MUCH for your support on my last post. Let's get our weight loss trains back on track. I've decided that the biggest problem is that I'm overdue for some quality "me time" that I used to get from running, going to the gym, whatever it might be...you too? You are/were certainly not the only one stuck. But, we're pushing through this one. Good luck this week!! We shall overcome..... :-)

Thanks for the comment! You are so right about the cold weather thing. I live in Minneapolis...so it will definitely be coming and I'll have to switch it up then.

A quick update

It's been a while since I've posted and I really don't have time now, but I feel the need to post. Last week after Thanksgiving, I was up 0.4lbs which was okay with me. This past week has been BRUTAL!! I've been binging non stop (3 trips to McD's, out for Indian food on Friday, at LEAST 6 pieces of Black Forest Cake on the weekend, not to mention the ENTIRE container of gummy worms!!) CRAZY week

Well, the weekend was busy - we fridge shopped, bought one, I cleaned the ENTIRE house (not that you'd know it now) and I got groceries. We ate out twice - I had Boston Pizza for supper on Friday and then A&W for lunch on Saturday. Then on Sunday, I was having a sweet craving, so baked 1pt chocolate chip cookies. Chocolate Zucchini Cake

I'm so glad it's Thursday which means tomorrow is Friday. I'm still not on 'work' schedule and i stay up too late every night, meaning that i eat more in the evenings than i really should. At today's staff meeting, there were snacks and I gave in. Although I had baked chips (3pts) with salsa and guacamole (2pts) BUT I also had 2 small pieced of chocolate zucchini cake. Disappointing WI

So last night was weigh in and I was only down 0.2lbs. I was VERY disappointed considering I did 30DS level 1 x2 and level 2 x1 last week, plus a 90 minute Bikram yoga class on Friday night and a 60 minute spin class on Monday night. Weigh In and Goal Setting

So tonight's weigh in wasn't a total bust, I'm down 0.6lbs. I wish it were more, but considering I ate out at Chili's on Saturday night and had chicken quesadillas, followed by carrot birthday cake, I guess I can be thankful for a loss!!
