About Me:
The name is Katie Beth. I am 23 years old and I just graduated from college. I have been married for four and a half years. After graduating from college, I stepped on the scale and was horrified to see the number there. I recently discovered that I have some thyroid issues that have contributed to my weight gain, so now that I am all taken care of medically, I would like to focus on taking care of myself physically. So, here goes.....

My current goal is to get out of the 90's.-- DONE- 7/7/09
I would like to reach my 5 % Weight of 185.7-- DONE-7/21/09
I would like to leave the 80's behind for good

Off to the gym....

Keeping it real....

Well, it has been a while. I cannot even believe it. Actually, I can.... but time still moves so quickly. I am still trying to remain cognizant of my weight, but I have not really been putting in the effort to see a loss. I have been hanging out right around the mid-180's for a while now. I feel good about the fact that I have not gone back up into the 90's and have maintained my earlier loss.

A lack of presence.

Well, I have had a rough few weeks. Sometimes, I just give up. I think that I am finally to a place where I can identify that some bad decisions do not necessarily mean that I need to completely abandon my efforts.... or completely start over.

I did it!

I was a little apprehensive about the WI this week. I knew that I made good choices overall and that I had handled things differently than I would have prior to WW... so I was happy about that.... but I was also bummed because I was fairly certain that I would not reach my goal of 5% today. My initial goal was to reach 5% by July 21 and I did it! So, I am officially down 10.something pounds. I am pretty stoked.

Slowly moving through July

Summertime seems to be a difficult time to focus on weight loss for me. I always feel like I should have been thinking about this and making changes months ago... which just gets me frustrated. When I found this quote a few months ago, it really resonated with me, so I keep it in my pocket for moments of frustration like this:

Well I am hoping it doesn't stop going down. I know it will here at some point, because I have been consistently losing about 1-2lbs a week or more. That's makes me pretty confident and I know once that doens't keep happening I'm going to freak. Hopefully I can keep on track though. What kinds of foods are you eating? I'm getting really sick of the same old stuff I'm fixing. I usually have oatmeal or cheerios for breakfast, a turkey wrap for lunch, and chicken and vegtables for dinner. Then I usually have popcorn for a snack.

Going pretty good, how about you? I actually weighed in on Sunday morning and I'm down 6! So that was really exciting for me. I am just trying to keep it up. How is your loss going? I am hoping to be at goal by May, so I think if I can keep it up I can steadly get there by then. At least 21lbs to go. My WW goal to be a lifer is only 8lbs away, but I want to be lower, than I have wiggle room :)

You know I am a night student, so I'm not sure if I am able to use it or not. Maybe I could go early and workout. That is a good option! I need to get some exercise some how. Do you still have a lot of snow in Montana? We are in Idaho and there is still quite a bit. It is hard to walk on the sidewalks.

Thanks for the comment back. I understand, the cooking can be hard when you are going to school. I am always looking for things that I can cook up quickly. I am going to weigh in on Sunday morning. I am hoping to see some progress, I have been doing really well this week. I need to figure out how to get in some exercise, but by the time I get home its so dark. I need to invest in a treadmill!
