OMG...15 hours in the summer is insane!! I wish him the best! I wish I could just go to school but I can't afford to right now. I am also working towards my BSN. Hopefully I can keep my gpa high enough with everything else in my life to get in. I am really freaking out about it! The university that I am planning to go to has 300 applicants this year for 100 spots. Wish me luck! :)

Thanks for your comment! I think toning will help. I do a lot of weights for my arms and they are pretty toned, but I've always slacked a little on my legs. I think I could make great progress, so I definitely will try it out!

Hi! thanks for your comment--I read your story above and wanted to tell you that I, too, am working on getting the weight off that I had gained before getting pregnant. The pregnancy weight came of quickly...but getting pregnant at my heaviest has made it SO difficult! I want to have another baby and i'd love to get to a healthy weight before getting pregnant again. Good luck with your journey! We can do it! Do you have any sort of a 'time frame' for getting pregnant again? Im thinking somewhere around February--give or take...you know how 'plans' have a mind of their own!

I'm a working mom in my 30's that needs to get the weight off. I've been in the up down yo yo for too long now. While I still haven't made it back to my all time highest weight, I've been inching closer to that weight. You know the story, lose 10 lbs, gained it back and then some. This needs to stop. I beat that little voice in my head!

That annoying little voice that was telling me it was ok to be lazy tonight and to over eat.

We were invited to go over to our friends house for dinner tonight. I didn't have any meat thawed to throw on the grill, so we decided too go. It wound up being breakfast foods. I just did something I have never done before!

And something I didn't think I could ever do.

Pushups!

15 of them!

Granted they were all on my knees, but I have had a mental block on doing pushups all my life. The husband said I had good form going.

Now I wonder if I can do 20 tomorrow night.

All in all, an ok week 3

I was much better with my portion control than I had been in the past, eating to the point of being full, and not eating to the point of being stuffed.

I have counted all my calories and tracked them at myfitnesspal.com

I worked out 4/5 planned times, and got some unexpected swimming in, but not counting it as a full exercise.

I splurged on popcorn at Harry Potter, but stopped when I was satisfied instead of eating the whole bucket. Instead I shared with the friends I saw the move with.

Another week, another tiny gain

So many times this week I have come to BTL, caught up on the blogs, and opened the screen to add my own daily blog, only to get caught up with work, or to come to a complete blank about anything to write.

I think I have fully recovered from the slump I was in last week. Learning to eat to live and instead of living ot eat.

Just thinking about a commit I made on Willpower's blog

How is it that some people are wired to "Eat to live" while others are wired to "Live to Eat".

Me, I'm firmly in the "Live to Eat" camp. I think about food most of the time. I dream about what I am going to eat that day/the next day. When I go to the fair, I'm all about the food.
