About Me:
I have been married almost 31 yrs.We got married young *& I was a stay at home mom that then did childcare for 18 years ,until the kids grew up & out of the house.Now we are grandparents to a 18 month old girl!

I now make & sell handmade soap & lotions & sell at 2 local Farmers markets & craft shows!


I have lost almost 20 lbs & have 50 more to go.....I have to really exercise alot not just eat better.My metabolism is bad....


I journal what goes into my mouth & what exercise I do too is recorded .I just started a new journal doing this & I see it makes me more aware with what is going on in 24 hours for me...I would love to hear from fellow 40 somethings & see how u keep your weight off.

Back online I hope-Been busier then usual

HI all,
How has everyone been?? Roni I love seeing your food videos.I really just love them.I think it is a great way to share your success.I also bet it keeps you on track too.I had a true Virus & had an IV to pep me up 12 days into my lathargic body on the couch.It was horrible in that I had absolutely no energy which led into a bad back of my head MIGRAINE!!!YUK!!! Not good lately~

Well on the weekend I don't know whats going on but as of yesterday as I was selling my soaps & lotions (hubby was helping) I had to exit to a bathroom & had alot of flushing ...lets just say that.My granddaughter& kids (stopped by ) whom evidentally had some bug days before as my daughter-in -law tells me after grandbabie(18 months) is drinking on my water.I may be wrong ,but maybe I got her bug~but my tummy isn't well today it is rumbling.What do any of you take for a bug? I have been gone a while now .I had picked up a nasty VIRUS (not computer one ):-) ..I was on the couch Lathargic& it lasted 3 weeks .I even had an IV at the hospital to pick me up a bit..Non anything in the exercise department too.Now I am back at the YMCA & exercising again.
I need to come here more & chat.Any Washington State gals here?

Sauteed Flounder with Orange-Shallot Sauce


1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt , or to taste
Freshly ground pepper to taste
1 pound flounder , sole or haddock fillets
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 each large shallot , finely chopped (about 1/3 cup)
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
2 heaping teaspoons Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons butter
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Basic Green Salad with Vinaigrette

3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons red-wine vinegar
1 tablespoon chopped flat-leaf parsley
1/2 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
8 cups mixed salad greens

Well I'm doing okay I'm down to 185 from 206.8 but I'm loosing momemtum. Maybe I'm just tired but I'm staying on program and haven't exercised in the past 2 days. Last weigh in I was down .4 I know a low is a loss but I worked out and stayed at 24 points a day and didn't use any extra flexies and earned at least 6 AP's a day.

Just thought I'd drop a note and see how your doing. My last weigh in I was down 2 pounds but the week before 0. I have to workout or I don't loose the weight.

I also have lost 20 pounds and I have about 40 more to loose. I just started to enjoy my exercise but used to hate it I didn't like to sweat. I journal everyday what I eat and that has helped me realize how much I used to eat. I have been married this year 30 years so we have alot in common!
