I finally learned to not beat myself up after those late night binges.. I just tell myself I am one meal away from feeling good about myself again... and go from there.. Late nights are hard aren't they???

I think that I will be more accountable by getting my thoughts in writing.. seeing them and living by them.. I do pretty well most of the time but as we all know ..There are those times when you say to yourself... Why did I just have 2 bowls of ice…

About Me:
I was getting pretty close to 50 a few years back and realized I had been gaining 5 ish pounds every year for quite a few years. Well all I had to do was a little math to figure I did not like the number I would be seeing at my 60th b-day...I decided then and there to take control and get Healthy... and change some bad habits while I was at it.. I have never been one to join weight lose groups or read the latest diet books as every time I have ever gone on a diet I would just end up gaining weight.. but I bought a book about balance and 40-30-30 eating and learned about my metabolism.. And it worked... I lost 40 pounds in about 8 months and changed the way I think about food.. I have been maintaining my weight for about 2 years now and I still have moments of course but I am always thinking about everything that I eat. I feel so much better about myself having taken control.. I can't let food control me or my emotions.. And face it nothing tastes as good as thin feels.
