Think and Grow Thin

As a person who has been working with a Master Mind group that studies the book Think and Grow Rich by N. Hill, I know that my thoughts create my reality. I know about how my thought design what goes on in my financial life. Yet I've not been applying it to my weight life. I'm really not sure why. It was like I put that in a little category all my itself.

Fortunately, I was exposed to this group of FaceBook "We Think TContinue

I am perplexed and thrilled

I am reading this book "Think and Grow Thin". The book is really causing some internal conflict. For many, many years I based my own personal self-worth on what I did or did not eat in a given day. With the help of what I call "The Tribe" in my blog, I have totally changed my belief about my self. In "the tribe" we Master Mind the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.

“You have absolute control over but one… Continue

See your Beauty

Try something different today.

Soften your gaze and hold your vision on the perfection of your body. Instead of looking for flaws and imperfections, instead of seeking what's wrong, look with kind and gentle eyes for what's right. Smile at yourself as you feel appreciation for your body.

I'd really like to know what happen when you did this. Please do let me know.

How I stay motivated

If you are like most people, you’re sick and tired of chasing the “next best” weight loss plan, and you’re ready to Finally do something that really works. Most people end up treasure-hunting for the drop 10 pounds fast gig. The problem there is most people don’t realize what they don’t know and end up falling for what is being marketing as the “super system” they can buy that will do all the work for them and the pounds will just melt away. Which is why they continue to fall flat on their face.… Continue

Try vs Commit

Today, November 27, 2009, exactly 90 days until my daughter gets married. I have known about this date for almost a year now. I would say that I have been “trying” to get rid of 20 pounds for about 8 months now. I have come to learn that for myself, trying to do something is way different than committing to do something.

The definition of try is – attempt something, to make an attempt or effort to do something.

The definition of commit is – promise devotion: to pledge devotion or dedication to… Continue

Hi Debi,

Thank you for the invitation! I am new to the website so just feeling my way around. You asked my biggest struggle ... I would say following through! I have what I think is a good balance of behavior modification/lifestyle changes in mind ... now I just need to do it! I am in day 6 of this push, and have done very well. I think blogging/tweeting about it (even to a limited audience of mostly myself) is helpful. I have essentially put out a billboard to my friends and family about what I am doing...that keeps me accountable on and the right track. Take care! time for me to take a walk :) - Allison

I'm not sure enjoying and running should go in the same sentence. ;) Seriously though, I enjoy the feeling of accomplishment once I've completed the run. I also really enjoy races. I try to sign up for one 5k every month just to keep me motivated. I have not run a whole 5k race yet, but last weekend I ran 2.7 miles of a 5k. The energy and comraderie at the races is so exciting and it just makes me want to run more.
