About Me:
I just graduated college, weight is something i have struggled with for a majority of my life. Sometimes for no reason at all I lose a ton of weight, but I just cannot keep it off, it comes back 10 fold. I'm at my heaviest now, 222.8 lbs. My college years were not kind to me, I weighed in my freshman year at 140 lbs.

I work at an advertising agency, and I love it, I'm super happy! I just battled quitting smoking, and I do lots of crafts and furniture restoration in my spare time. I have a 2 year old rescue dog, and I'm looking for a Great Dane as my next dog. I'll be moving to Florida at the end of August, and would love to be on my way to a new body by that time.

Workout Philosophy:
I loath exercice, I stay active doing everyday activities, I'm new to exercise, I only exercise because I have to

Goals




So it's been a long time coming, but I'm commiting to some goals. I posted a blog about the goals I would be doing weekly, but now I'm going to put out some long term ones right here, and track my weigh in's on here as well... which I haven't done.

Goals:
1. Look at food as CHOICES not must-haves
2. Exercise when I think about it. Even if it crosses my mind ONE time (to do it or NOT to do it) I must commit to exercising at some point during that day, even if its only 10 crunches during a commercial break, or taking the dog on a 15 minute walk, EVERYTHING COUNTS!
3. Start Journaling! (I am good about it for a couple days... then slowly I just stop!)
4.Weigh Myself on Monday Mornings and post to BTL as well is on a piece of paper above my scale!
5. Don't eat after 8pm (unless I haven't been able to get home to make dinner for some extenuating circumstance), in which case I will limit myself to raw fruit or cooked veggies.
6. Pay attention to my hunger signals, and only eat when they have been triggered.
7. This is an addition: Don't beat myself up if I slip up, only recognize it and make a better choice next time!

My plan of choice is Weight Watchers... so limited caloric intake, low fat and HIGH fiber.

Plan begins:

6/15/09 -- 222.8
6/20/09 - 218.6 (4.2lb loss)
6/27/09 - 218.6 (no loss... but no gain either! YAY)
6/28/09 - 07/20/09 (so dissapointed from no loss I avoided WW and dropped out)
07/21/09 214.0 (4.6lb loss) I bought a scale and started doing WW on my own!
07/28/09 212.0 (2lb loss)
08/05/09 213.00 (1lb gain) To be expected BAD EATING
08/07/09 211.6 (1.4lb loss) REACH 5% GOAL! WOOT!
08/12/09 211.6 (no loss/no gain) I think TOM and my sodium intake are the culprits!
08/17/09 213.6 (2lb gain) Moving is killing how I eat...eat...and overeat! Oops!
09/22/09 211.6 (2lb loss) Finally got a scale after taking more than a month off of "caring"
09/24/09 209.5 (1.9 lb loss) Finally seeing some weight come off again :)


Weight Goals:
08/08/09 Lose 5% body weight
10/08/09 Lose 10% body weight
Christmas -- 180lbs
May -- 160lbs
July -- 140lbs
September --135lbs (GOAL WEIGHT)

Rewards for Milestones:
5% goal = new pendant
10% goal = Set of 5lb Handweights
180lbs = 2 new outfits
160lbs = New Bathingsuit 2 piece
140 lbs = Plane ticket to come back to MI and see my family
Goal Weight 135 = Great Dane Puppy

Finding a new routine....

Finding a new routine has been SO difficult since the move. I'm trying to stay on plan, and I know I am staying within my points, but I'm eating like CRAP... i get up usually around NOON... this is the first time in a month I have been up at 8am.

Seltzer -- My New Best Friend!

So my last blog said I didn't know where I was weight wise because I was without a scale. I broke down and went to Target... low and behold all of their scales are on clearance (including the Weight Watchers one!), so it seemed like a higher power of some kind was basically saying "BUY A SCALE!" At long last.....

So thankful to be back online permanently. The wonderful boyfriend has been so kind as to sign up for internet for his apartment and this is going to allow me to finally get back to blogging seriously.

I swear I haven't fallen off the face of the Earth...

Hello All!

I'm back, well, I'm here anyway. I'm in Florida, I made the trip, it was 1300 miles in 2 days, just me and the dog. We got here this past Saturday, super late into the evening. And I was never happier to see the boyfriend. I'm still struggling to grasp the fact that I really am living in Florida... this isn't a vacation, this is a reality.

How easy it can be to forget...

Yesterday I went to turn in my change to a coinstar machine... the machine happened to be in the grocery store, the grocery store happens to showcase "make your own pizza" stuff as soon as you enter...

I'm sure you can see where this is going. My collected coinage become funding for a pizza making fiesta..I had everything at home, just needed cheese and a crust.

I love seltzer too... and I like to put in a splash of juice.. OJ and cranberry is a good mix... or just OJ, kind of tastes like orangina... once you get used ot seltzer, it is hard to drink diet soda--seems SO sweet!

Oh I know what you mean! Those big goals are daunting and seem like they take forever! Short term goals help keep success close enough to keep me going. I love reading your stuff girl. You're so like me, at times it seems like you know exactly what needs to be done but can't seem to do it. But eventually something clicks on in our heads and then we're back in the game ready for any challenge! Oh yes baby, we are team sexy :P

lol...my self control lasted until this morning since the hubby didn't rehide it for me! Anyway, I had him hid the scale while I dedicated the 30 days to the shred. I wanted to make sure that as I was gaining muscle, I wouldn't worry about the number on the scale. But I am making changes to my diet because of livestrong.com, so I decided to make sure I wasn't making changes that would be detrimental to my weight loss.
