Thanks for sharing. Great tips! I like the one about getting a calendar and writing everything down for the month. I think a lot of times I make things out to be worse than they really are. I bet if I looked at the entire month, there wouln't be THA…

Way to go! I like that decision. :)

I had the same clothing problem. About 4 years ago I lost 65 pounds and got rid of ALL my fat clothes. It felt so great. I loved shopping for my new "skinny" clothes. I thought that if I got rid of all the other clothes it would be a wake up call wh…

Where is this Exercise TV? Is it a channel?

I've tried it before. The one I tried had some crazy aerobic moves with like a million different types of steps and I'm not all that coordinated. LOL. Glad to hear it's working for you!

About Me:
Life is good! I can honestly say that I am happy with where I am in life. About 2 years ago I married a wonderful man, moved to Ohio (from Texas) to be with him, got my dream job as a 2nd grade math teacher, and we bought our first house in March. I have an amazing group of friends here and belong to an amazing church family here.

You are all waiting for the "but" right? You know it has to be there! I'm proud to say that before I met my husband I started WW and lost about 65 pounds. The highest I ever remember weighing was 209 and about one year later I reached lifetime weighing in at 145 pounds. (This was the summer of 2006) I maintained that weight for over a year, only gaining once I got married and moved. During my first year of marriage I gained 40 pounds! I am not proud of the fact that I let myself gain that much back. I'm on a journey to get back to where I felt best--145 pounds--and this time I want to stay there!

Exercise TV

Honestly, where have I been? This is the greatest invention ever! I've been getting up before work to do a workout video for a couple months now and starting to get bored with the same old thing. Then yesterday someone at work mentioned excercise TV and low and behold, it's been there on my tv all along! This morning I did the Biggest Loswer Cardio Max--a pretty good little workout and a nice change of pace. I LOVE Bob in this video. He cracks me up. Now I am SO excited to get up each morning an… Continue

Working Out with Bob Harper

I decided that I wanted something a little special to give me that extra omph during the holiday season. Perhaps a little extra incentive to work out. This morning I picked up The Biggest Loser for the Wii. I have only used it once, so I can't say for sure how it will work long term, but I loved the workout I got today.

The premise of the "game" is that you become a contestant on the Biggest Loser (actually you choose from 8 former people on the show to be "you") and compete against other conte… Continue

Advice/Suggestions Needed

I am going to a mexican restuarant tomorrow for a friend's birthday celebration. They do not post nutritional information on thier website. I know that I could probably search around and find more info, but I feel like being lazy. Any thoughts/suggestions for a point friendly lunch at a mexican restuarant?

Well, I did it!

Last week my WW meeting was about setting realistic goal--things that are specific, but are attainable. My goal for the week was to hit my 5% goal. I knew I needed to lose 1 pound this week to reach that goal. This week I lost 1.8! Woo hoo. That puts me at 9.8 pounds total.

My next goal is to lose 1 pound a week through the end of the year. This will put me very close to my 10% goal (and 2/3 of the way to my lifetime goal!) I have quite a few obstacles this weekend, but I know I can do this.

Feel the Ryhthm

I have been using the 30 day shred and love this dvd. I feel like it's a good workout and it only takes 20 minutes. That said, I like a little variety in life, so I borrowed a few workout videos from a friend.

This morning I did Core Ryhthms for the first time. Wow. First, I must say this video taught me that I am not Latin, nor do I move like I am. I felt (and I'm sure looked) pretty silly. But it was fun. I was moving the whole time an… Continue

Christy so glad you joined the Countdown to 2010 group. I am really trying hard to use the month of December to really challenge myself that we don't have to be derailed by special occasions, meaning I can enjoy but I don't have to throw away entire weeks at a time. Look forward to sharing ideas!

Ahh I love Diet Dr. Pepper! But I completely understand how you use it for a treat..that is why I limit to having them when I am watching a movie with friends or out to eat. I try not to have them on a daily basis!

If I didn't already have to leave for work at 6am, I might make it to the gym, but my gym isn't even open that early...

Hey Christy. Great job getting those two 30DS workouts in! And I totally know the feeling of fighting it to the last second. :)

It is harder this time around too. My husband has issues with food too, and so when I see him having problems one day, I allow myself to get off track too. Also, I feel guilty when I go to exercise when he's home. I feel like I should spend more time with him.

However, I read two books this time that are helping me keep focus (Dr. Phil-The Ultimate Weight Solution, and Jillian Michaels-Master Your Metabolism). I read part of "Master" to my husband and it has helped him a little in eating better, so that's helping me out too! I am also trying not to pay too much attention to the scale this time around... I haven't weighed in in 11 days because I tend to get too scale obsessed. My mentality this time around is: "Exercise and eat today like you want to eat the rest of your life, like you will when you weigh your goal weight". This works for me.

Keep me updated on your weight loss! Maybe we can motivate each other?
