carbs are everywhere, you're right! While I don't think cutting them out completely is good, I definitely eat WAY less than I used to. (especially refined carbs)

I get pretty bored too. Just keep switching it up. As long as you're getting activity in, you're doing good!

I don't like working out either. But, I do it. Because it is what I want for my life. Period. And, I think switching it up is probably a good thing- then your body is always getting something new and never gets used to it!

It really helps me to follow Jillian Michael's advice at the beginning of any workout - which is to set your intention. Why are you going to push yourself for the next 1/2 hour or 45 minutes? I think once you have a specific focus in mind, it helps…

I don't know if you have seen this program "You Are What You Eat", its on BBC America, but I have become addicted to it. Back on the Wagon

So I took a mini-sabbatical, a mental check out, if you will. I just reached a point where I couldn't do it. I just couldn't do it. I was frustrated, I was worn out, I was unmotivated. I just wrote a blog on this on my fitness blog, but I wanted to examine it a bit more here. Does anyone else feel like they have exercise ADD? I cannot seem to keep interested in any sort of exercise program, so I keep switching up. Can I just blame Food Network?

Alright, I love watching Food Network. I mean, really love FN. I watch it all the time. I watch it so much I'm starting to believe that I have a FN "binge eating disorder." I visually binge on all this food and I think its making me fat. I mean seriously I will watch it and then feel so gulity for watching, and feel the need to relieve the anxiety with exercise. I don't want to cook or eat--I've already done so by watching--I just want to watch, savor.

I know this is a little delayed, but thanks so much for the comment! You're absolutely right, our egos get in the way a lot. I like your thinking, avoiding mirrors is a good idea. I can't even fathom the amount of time I've spent looking in the mirror pinching away this lump or that. They really should be done away with!

Thanks for the comment! I also seem to wait until I am really really hungry before I eat. I want to make sure I'm not just eating out of boredom or because it's time to eat. I only want to eat when I am actually hungry. But apparently I am not that good yet at judging whether or not I am hungry!

Carolyn...Just wanted you to know how much i appreciated your willingness to help me figure things out. That was so nice. TOM finally arrived after two weeks and Im thinking that it may have been late because I have been extremely active. I added running back into my spin and weight training routine. I think that may have been it. I didnt have specific cravings...I was just really hungry so I started eating more. I feel better and things are good. Thanks again!
