About Me:
I'm a 26 yr old beginning teacher trying to make good choices. After getting married four years ago, I gained a lot of weight, thinking I could eat whatever my husband ate. Boy was I wrong! My problems are big portions and snacking. I decided to blog because I need motivation and people who will keep me accountable.

***Okay, I obviously didn't make my newest goal, but the good news is I didn't GAIN over the holidays. Now to get my head in the game again and start counting points. I would like to be at 175 by my graduation in May. Hopefully this is doable!

New goal: 175 lbs by Christmas

9/18/08: I did it! I made it under 200 lbs!!!

My first goal is to get to 210 by my birthday June 28. ***Just barely missed this goal--made it to 211***

My second goal is to be at/under 200 by August 4. ***Okay, probably not going to happen so I've pushed it until school starts on August 21.*** ***That's not going to happen either. Loss has been very slow. I'm pushing for September 21***

Crazy Time

Within TWO Points!

Woohoo! I stuck to my meal plan for the last three days and I feel so much better than I have been in weeks!

I say this despite a fight that broke out at cheerleading practice, having a lie told about me by one of the cheerleaders, and basically having the same girl call me a fraud. Ugh. But I got through it and I feel better now. And I didn't use food to make me feel better. Get UP!

Hi There Hips. How Ya Doin?

Instead of hating my hips or ignoring them, I thought I would try to be friends. I mean, even when I lose the amount of weight I want to lose, I'm still going to have them. I've had wide hips since I was 14; I know they aren't going to go away. I'm just hoping they will be a smaller version.

thanks for telling me how you cook your cabbage..my friend lisa roasts it in the oven til its carmelized...very good! i hope you are able to find brussels sprouts soon. they are my favorite vegetable! i roast mine in the oven with olive oil.

Hi! Thanks for the comment. We are doing well over here. Settling into a nice routine! Henry is a great baby. Eats every 3-4 hours and naps in between! He is getting so big, and starting to develop somewhat of a personality! I am doing
"okay" with eating/activity--breastfeeding makes you superhungry, but caring for an infant makes it hard to find time to eat/prep meals, so I am not able to eat as often or as much as I could!! Also, activity is walking the baby and dog around the neighborhood. I did buy 30 day shred and some weights--hoping to start that soon!!

How are you? Enjoying the new job? Hope the commute is okay.

BTW, when are you going to post some new pics?!?!?!?

Yes, I am sad about going back! I can't image Lily spending all day with someone else! I'm looking forward to seeing my kiddos again though and getting out of the house more. I'm going a little stir crazy. I'm totally mixed up about it. I think it'll be co much more fun this year because I have already done it once and gotten through the hard part.
