Profile Information

About Me:
As you can see by my "About Me" info, I started my weightloss journey a year ago today. I did pretty decent until life threw me a HUGE curve ball that knocked me on my behind. I tried desperately to hold on, but I wasn't able to. Today I start back on my journey with the hope that I can make it this time.

I Will Be A Loser
In May 2008, I turned the big 4-0. I am not depressed over leaving my 30's, but I was depressed over the fact that I had let my weight get out of control. Everything in my life is just as I had dreamed...I have a wonderful, loving husband, an amazing little girl, and my dream home. My only complaint is that I have let myself go, and had forgotten how to make time for me.

I have battled with my weight since I was a very young child. I remember praying to God to do whatever he had to do to make me skinny. Well, that happened. In 1999, I went from 265 lbs to 120 lbs in just under 3 months, and was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. Ok, so it wasn't the best way to lose weight, but I revelled in being small for the first time in my life! Ten surgeries later, I found myself in remission, pregnant, and gaining heap-loads of weight. After our daughter was born, I lost some of the weight, but sure enough, it started creeping back on. I was having a hard time adjusting to my new roles, and food was my comfort. I was out of control!!!

On May 28, 2008, I made the conscious decision to become a better wife, mom, and ME by taking control of my health and joining Weight Watchers. This is my journey to becoming a loser.

Week 3 Weigh In

Sweet Saturday

Dh and I are getting ready to leave for our date! YEAH!!! Gambling and dinner, possibly some shopping. I'm so excited. It will be our first time going out this year. We both really need this. I was worried it wasn't going to happen as DD has been sick with a cold for the past few days.

No workout today

at the gym at least. DD woke up this morning running a 102 temp. She's coughing a bit, and has a runny nose, so I wasn't able to hit the gym. I did do level one of the 30 day Shred....I think thats enough. GAWD! When Jillian says she's gonna kick your butt, she does. Week 2 Weigh In

And I managed to drop 5 lbs!!! YEAH!!!!!!!! I have to admit that I was concerned because I did not journal at all last week, but tried to keep a mental tally going in my head. This week I will be deligent on the journaling and see what happens.

Last chance workout

Whew! What a great workout. I'm sweaty, sore, and tired. It was a slow day at the gym, so I was able to jam pack my workout, which I'm very happy about.

90 min cardio - 30 min bike, 30 min elliptical, 30 min treadmill
45 min strength training

Tomorrow I'm going to lay off the weights and just do cardio. My knees and back are starting to ache which isn't good. I have bad knees and back, and the last thing I need to do is injure them any further. I'll lube up with Bio-Freeze after my shower and… Continue

Thanks so much for mentioning the "sigh" on the Wii fit! I heard it each time and was so embarrassed that it sighed when I stepped on it that I didn't notice it sighed for my BMI-normal husband also. So good to know! It looks like you're doing a great job. We're in for a relatively big snowfall mid-week, but I hope I can get to my WI--I'm gonna do it!

I am glad that you found some comfort in your friends here. I found it amazing that you were getting back on track after such a difficult time. Reading your story and what you went thru really made me take stock in my efforst lately. You really motivated me to reset and get this done. You really should be so proud of yourself.
