I just graduated this Summer (08) and I've been so depressed at home I've just been binge-eating non-stop. Binge-eating has been a problem for me for the past 4-5 years so I hope to seriously put a stop to it.

I am here for support and to support.

Just not ready yet

OK, I know it seems like I've disappeared. I've actually just been doing really badly but I've still been stalking your blogs.

The truth is, I'm just not ready. It's as simple as that. Throughout my years, I've gone with up and down phases and I can usually feel when I'm ready to kickstart something (namely losing weight, or whatever needs to get done in life.) Something triggers my 'it's time to lose weight' radar; my brain forms all sorts of plans; I feel 'high' and motivated.

The third day -and I failed already

My right arm is still sore from playing badminton on Tuesday. And my thighs and butt are sort from yesterday's walking. I am seriously unfit. I hate how sore muscles lets me feel justified to NOT workout, even though I know I really should do some sort of exercise everyday.

What do you do if your muscles hurt from the days before? Do you just exercise anyway? And is there a way to make the soreness go away faster?

It's only 12:22pm now, and I'm trying to gear myself up to go exercise. OK, just keep thinking,

Wow, after not exercising for three weeks, I have gone seriously out of shape. I can hardly walk up the hill and couldn't even run for 1 minute. I really need to build up some stamina again!

A better start

So after yesterday's disastrous start, today started off much better. I woke up at 12:30pm and had to read the news and prepare for my 3pm interview so I didn't even have time to eat a breakfast (-bad, I know.) I got home at 5:30pm and had an early dinner at 6pm so my body could digest some of the food before I went to the weekly 'social badminton' session at the clubhouse next to my building at 9:30pm. Becca, I am glad that I helped in some way! I looked at your stats and you are thinner than I have ever been (well since the 5th grade LOL) so I felt like I was maybe preaching to the choir but I hope you aren't too hard on yourself- we are all way too hard on ourselves I think. :) Thanks for the compliment, too! :)

I don't think that I could squeeze in many workouts the week of Christmas between work, kids, gatherings and cooking. Not to mention the last minute shopping that I still need to do. Hopefully I can get that taken care of after I get my bonus this week!
