About Me:
Okay I think it is about time to changed this section. I am no longer the person I once was so here it goes...

I am a 29 year old from Long Island. I have been overweight pretty much my entire life and obese for the greater portion of it. At my all-time highest weight of 285 lbs I was absolutely miserable, at least with myself. I remember feeling sick and tired all the time. I felt out of shape and lazy because I didn't have enough energy to do anything about it. It was exhausting just to walk around the mall or to go up a flight of steps. One of my best friends asked me to be in her bridal party and everything changed. I didn't want to be in her pictures looking the way I did. I did great and lost about 100 lbs. Some of it was on my own but most of it was with the help of weight watchers. The problem was I went about the program the wrong way. I wasn't focused on being healthy, it was to lose weight. I did lose weight but I didn't change many of my unhealthy habits. It never became a part of my lifestyle and was always something I struggled to keep up with. As a results I gained most of it back.

In April of 2007, I was almost 250 lbs and began contemplating lapband surgery. At that point I felt like a failure. My body again started to feel as it had before. I was tired and exhausted all the time. Although I had successfully lost weight and kept it off once before, I felt as if I had no control over myself and was forever doomed to the same fate. It was basically now or never for me at that point. I was 100 lbs overweight and thought being healthy was some insurmountable task. However I was scared. Too scared to undergo surgery. I decided to give it one last chance and to give it all I had. With my FFL Kim by my side, I went back to weight-watchers for what felt like the millionth time.

I have a truly AMAZING support team that never fail to help me up when I am down. My lifestyle is so different than the last time I did this - it is so much healthier and I am happy again.

On November 15, 2008 I reached goal. It is not the end of my story here...it is my new beginning. I finally have a chance to live this life the way I was meant to. I have battled this weight my entire life and that has not ended either. It is going to take work to keep this up but I look forward to the challenge!

GOALS for 2009!!
-To run a 1/2 marathon (May 3rd)
-To beat my personal records in 5k and 10k races.
-To maintain my weight but get my body fat percentage down!
Body fat percentage as of 4/26 = 28.8%
Goal body fat percentage = 25% (can be less but not under 20%)
-To maintain my fitness and get more toned!
-To challenge myself by trying a different activity or exercise.

Yeah....so....I haven't posted since January?

I apologize for falling off the face of the blogosphere (yet again) but it has been very hard for me to keep up with this site as well as with blogging. To be honest, I really haven't been into it because I am slowly but surely falling out of weight loss mode. I have not fallen off the wagon...I guess I have climbed aboard a different wagon of sorts. This leaves me feeling like I have nothing to contribute and nothing left to say.

I know I haven't been around for a while and in the world of weight loss blogs that usually means falling into a deep abyss of weight gain never to return. Quick Post - Some Random Thoughts

-I was down 3 lbs this week! I am now 158 and thinking that I could easily get to the 140s and may be happier there.
-Only 3 more weigh-ins till lifetime...I'm almost there!!!
-I am *nearly* done with Week 1 of Making the Cut!! Tomorrow will be day 7 :O) It's going great and I am noticing results...can't wait to see what the final tally will be 3 weeks from now.

Azad!! howz life? Is maintenance going well? I had Henry on Sept 10th. All is well. I am loving caring for a newborn--lots of cuddling and living in the moment. Only gained 17 lbs during my pregnancy--have already lost that and about 8 more! Having trouble losing more--breastfeeding makes you hungry, and taking care of a newborn is nonstop--eating on the run most of the time and activity consists of walks around the neighborhood. I go back to work on Jan 4th, and then it will be easier to get back into the losing mode.

Thanks for the comments. I will be back at BTL more often. I need it for accountability. Even if no one reads it, I know if I write it down, I will be honest with myself. The scale said 153.5 today - 9.5 over Goal of 144. Better than I thought.

I am here. Thanks for checking in on me. I'm about 12 lbs. over goal right now. I've been an eating machine and am ashamed of it. My 1 yr. anniversary of starting WW in on April 6th. I have cabin fever and really want to get out and excercise, but we are getting another 12-18 inches of snow right now along with all the flooding. It's miserable. All I can think of to do is eat and read books or watch movies with the kids. Spring can come any time now. I need to get back on this site and get motivated. I have been considering a blog of my own, but like the support I have here - when I log in. Take care and keep in touch! Thanks again.
