Didn't have much time this week to write, nor did I track my food very well, which is why even though I "think" or "feel" like I ate healthy, I did not lose any weight. I weighed-in at 165.4 lbs. today. No gain, which is good, but not the loss I was…

I weighed in today at 165.8 lbs. Not as much of a loss as I'd hoped, but it's still a loss which is good. I let my eating get a little out of hand this week. By snacking more and not eating well-planned, balanced meals, I've been eating in a disorde…

Smart thing about having a rain back-up plan! And congrats on the loss. Sounds like you know what your body needs.

I've been a bit lazy about posting but not about writing down my food (except on Sunday when I took a break due to a massive headache and little appetite). I had a bad bike ride on Saturday morning - 26 low quality and difficult miles. I was hoping…

Sounds like a great ride. I plugged in your ride to my WW online activity calculator and it gave 5 AP's earned also. I was hoping it might say 11 for your sake but 5 is awesome!Sounds like a yummy day! I am glad you got to escape from the little one…

Yesterday was a great day. I got a part-time job that I can work nights and weekends, so I can be with the baby during the day. I bought a bathing suit too, even though I had to get it in a size 14 I know I won't be in it permanently and might even…

That is a great loss!! Great job! The recipe sounds delicious, do you happen to know the serving size and points?

I stepped on the scale today, one week and a day from my start on WW-on-my-own. I couldn't believe it, I weigh 168.6 pounds. I weighed 173.2 last Wednesday. I am psyched! At this point, losing scale weight is my best indicator of progress, next to…

The weekend was a good one. I ate a bit too much on Saturday and tried to recoup on Sunday. Between Father's Day dinners with my husband's parents and mine, there was a lot of good grilling going on. I didn't count every point or write down what I a…

One of my favorite things to eat because it is SO satisfying is 1 cup of Whole Wheat pasta, 1/2 cup of healthy choice marinara sauce, and 2 tbl parm cheese... the whole thing is only 5 points and its really filling. You can add a Whole grain lite en…

Woke up early today, 5:45 am and decided I was going to exercise. I hit the elliptical trainer for 45 pretty vigorous minutes (I was sweating and breathing hard the whole time). I did one of the pre-programmed routines that goes up/down hills with v…

Saturday July 11, 2009 Weigh-in and Reflection

Didn't have much time this week to write, nor did I track my food very well, which is why even though I "think" or "feel" like I ate healthy, I did not lose any weight. I weighed-in at 165.4 lbs. today. No gain, which is good, but not the loss I was hoping for.

I got back on track today by logging in my breakfast, planning my lunch, running 3.5 miles and getting the fixins for a healthy barbecue dinner together. I have to keep reminding myself not to get disappointed by set backs, just keep foc… Continue

Weigh-in Today, and a Reflection On What I've Been Doing Wrong This Week

I weighed in today at 165.8 lbs. Not as much of a loss as I'd hoped, but it's still a loss which is good. I let my eating get a little out of hand this week. By snacking more and not eating well-planned, balanced meals, I've been eating in a disordered fashion. I'm still faithful to listing everything I eat everyday (including yesterday's indulgence in a KFC chicken breast - fried! - and a few glasses of wine with husband, and some chocolate cake).

What has been bad this week was drinking alcoh… Continue

Up and Down the Past Few Days

I've been a bit lazy about posting but not about writing down my food (except on Sunday when I took a break due to a massive headache and little appetite). I had a bad bike ride on Saturday morning - 26 low quality and difficult miles. I was hoping for a challenge but ended up doing more of a recovery ride. My legs felt like lead and even though I had energy it was still a huge effort to climb most hills. I finished the ride but I don't think it did my fitness much good. I took Sunday off and pl… Continue

Earning Extra Points

Yesterday was a great day. I got a part-time job that I can work nights and weekends, so I can be with the baby during the day. I bought a bathing suit too, even though I had to get it in a size 14 I know I won't be in it permanently and might even see size 12 or 10 by the end of summer...maybe that is wishful thinking. I also got to ride my bike and earned mucho extra points for my efforts.

By 4:30 I had already eaten all of my points for the day. I knew I was going to ride so I had to have a… Continue

Holy Moly! This is working! (Recipe Post)

I stepped on the scale today, one week and a day from my start on WW-on-my-own. I couldn't believe it, I weigh 168.6 pounds. I weighed 173.2 last Wednesday. I am psyched!

At this point, losing scale weight is my best indicator of progress, next to the way my clothes fit. Overall I feel fantastic and even doubly motivated now to keep on going with my eating and exercise plan.

I did not get to ride last night. The weather held out, but I gave the ride opportunity to my husband instead. He is goi… Continue
