I'm a 36 year old mother of 2 who is SICK OF BEING FAT. I've gone "postal" on my weight loss endeavors & have lost 50 pounds in 4 months. I still have 35 to go... I know I can do it! I've discovered a passion for exercise & weight loss blogging!! What else could I need??
Hey Amy - LOL - I can so relate to that Girl Scout cookie post - I did something really weird with the GS Cookie challenge - I was a co-leader at the time, the cookies were everywhere - I imagined some gross cookie baker guy - who wasn't very "clean" dropping his boogers, earwax, spit, anything into the big pot of cookie dough for thin mints...so then when I saw the cookies - I thought GROSS - I don't know what's in them...lol - strange but it worked...really strange...okay, I really had issues with the cookies BIG ISSUES I had to make a really gross connection to break my desire from woofing down a whole sleeve of thin mints in 15 minutes :) like the old days...LOVE your blog and your humor...Keep up the great work!
Hi Amy - Thanks for your nice words - I've been feeling a bit down, up about 10 lbs now...I miss the sun! But I got out to run yesterday so that's good...and I'm in the Portland Area. I like I've gone "postal" - that's exactly what I did - I got a little crazy about it...I need to get that "crazy" back so I don't gain it back!! I need to go postal too again :) okay.."Go Postal in 2009" lol - I had a blast the fat bootcamp mentality when I was losing...getting a little obsessive about exercising worked! But being lazy and eating does the complete opposite...my body is too good at storing!! It will be the BATTLE of the YEAR...to keep it off, to lose this 10 and just stay in my healthy range for once in my life vs. gaining it back!!!
Hi Amy! Had fun reading your rebuildingamy blog! I'm also an Oregonian...and recently had some run ins with Christmas goodies...I made my own pumpkin bread, cookies - big mistake :) But its all gone now & although the scale is up big time I want that RESOLVE back! I want to keep feeling good too...Reading your blog inspired me this morning - Thank You! I lost about 55 lbs but have regained about 10 of it - this year I'm battling to "not go backwards" and hold onto the healthy lifestyle I worked hard for...Hope we can be friends! Welcome!
I laughed out loud when I read your WI story! And to think, you didn't even want to weigh today. It's good that you kept exercising even though you had an up week last week. It really paid off now. I'm so excited after my meeting today. The group was great...good energy, friendly people, good leader. I was so afraid I was going to get one of those blah groups.
My starting weight is 197.4. Not as bad as I thought. I had weighed myself last week for the first time in a month and was just over 200 so obviously I've been doing something right in the past week. Now, I've just got to get used to tracking again. I think this was a great week to start. I'm so motivated to not over-indulge on Christmas because I want to see a loss on my first week.
I love IKEA too. Do you have to come all the way to Sacramento to shop there?? If you do, let me know next time you're going to be in town. We'll meet up and earn some activity points walking the 3 miles around the show room. :)
How did your meeting go this morning? Did you WI? I think your idea of be a support team since we WI on the same day is great. Congrats on the 50 lb loss in 4 months! That's incredible!
Wow- 50 lbs in 4 months! that's amazing! can't wait to check out your blog. I saw your friend request question- but I'm not sure on the answer- I've been able to accept friend requests with no trouble- so I'm going to send one to you from me and see what happens!
