Hey Allison, I know I went MIA for a while. I found out I was pregnant about 4 months ago, and kinda fell off the wagon. Anyways, I am back on now, and doing well. Just trying to watch what I eat so I don't gain a whole lot of weight with this pregnancy. I really haven't figured this whole new blog to lose thing out yet, so I don't know how faithful I am going to be to post. Hope things are going well for you! ~Laura

Today I was down 1.4 and I weighed in at 139.0. I'm happy that I'm down but very discouraged that I'm up so high. Oh well...one week at a time.

On another note, marathon training is going really well. Last week we did a 4 mile run, an hour run, a 4 mile run, and then a 7 mile run...all went great!

This week is going to be busy:
Tuesday- 4 miles with 5 min. of incline (DONE!)
Wednesday - break
Thursday- 6 miles
Friday - Outdoor soccer game (day off from running)
Saturday - 1 outdoor game and 1 indoor soccer game (also day off)
Sunday - 8 miles

...I'll keep you all posted!
...oh, and don't worry...I WILL be changing the look of my blog!

Profile Information

About Me:
I am 22 and one month shy of finishing my Master's degree in Teaching and am excited to start teaching 1st grade in a bilingual program next fall! In high school I was always very heavily involved in sports and therefore very active. Since then, while completing my undergrad, my life and exercise routine has changed dramatically. Where I used to exercise seven days a week, I now feel lucky if I make it to the gym once in a week.

Although I do not consider myself to be someone with a serious weight problem, in the past three years I have gained about 15 pounds that I wish were not attached to my body:) My lowest weight since highschool was the beginning of my freshman year of college while I was training for the Portland Marathon. At that time, I weighed approximately 133-135 pounds.

My goal is to get rid of this extra weight and drop back down to 130…or maybe even 125 :) I truly love to exercise so I am also trying to incorporate that back into my daily life although I know it will be a challenge as I’m trying to balance student teaching, my schedule of classes and homework, as well as work. Oh well…I’ve always loved a challenge and to dream big!

Sunday... and CANSADA

If you want to know the real reason why I haven't been blogging I think I've finally nailed it down. I AM EXHAUSTED. Over in Colorado...

Well I am sitting here waiting for my sisters to finish getting ready so I decided I'd briefly check in. In all honesty, I have not been keeping track of what I've been eating, but I have been sticking to my running schedule and trying to eat as close to CORE as possible. Weigh-In Day...

Well I woke up this morning and weighed in at 138.2 :( I was disappointed but thought I'd weigh again tonight after my run. Today I ate:

Core cereal (Kashi)
Banana
grapes
Smart Ones (Core)
SF pudding
Whole wheat pasta spaghetti
Salad
Slice of bread
Some M&Ms

Sunday...and the countdown continues!!!

14 teaching days left til my programs done!!! That sounds bad cause I actually LOVE being in the classroom, I just hate all the homework and extra work that goes along with finishing my master's degree! I'm so excited to be finished!

Week Update...

THURSDAY: I started the day by running 6 miles (with my oh-so-supportive friend Danielle and her adorable daughter) and I ate Core the entire day until we went out to Mexican food and even though I didn't actually really like what I ordered I probably used like 10 flex points (Cause I DID like the chips and salsa!)

At the end of the day: 19 flex points left
