Eric Prydz - Call On Me Here is the link to the song. However, the video distasteful. Catchy song, though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_fCqg92qk

Jack LaLanne Quote

My recent internet browsing pleasantly surprised me when I googled, 'Jack LaLanne'. My husband always talks about him and how his lifestyle is that of the best, and he has been around for many years. Basically the best fitness guru, ever. So said my husband. I just kind of nodded in agreement not really knowing his theory. I read an interview with him and he has the famous saying, "Eat less, exercise more!". Jack LaLanne is now 94 years old and going strong. He must be doing someth… Continue

Do it, to it!

Since mid-July 2009 I have been taking care of my eating habits by eating less and eating whole foods. Also, I have been walking on the treadmill three times a week for 25 minutes. I also had purchased two five pound weights that I could lift to get some muscle and tone my arms. Hi Alie! I didn't catch your comment about running until now. I do most of my running on an indoor track that is level almost the entire way around (one slight uphill/downhill change, but not much). When I go home for a few weeks this winter I'll run outside. I try to avoid treadmills for the most part, mainly because they do assist you while you run because of the way they're designed and also because they often times aren't calibrated quite right for speed/time/calories burned. I want to be a street runner, so I'm trying to train myself that way. If you do run on a treadmill I'd recommend doing some extra time and also setting a 5% incline to help offset the assistance from the treadmill. (I follow the tips in my half marathon book when I have to use one.)

Thanks for the comment and let me know if you get into running!
