Has anyone run while pregnant? I am 8 weeks pregnant and had been running 15-25 miles per week. Trying to keep it up even though I am feeling sick and tired 24/7 and was just wondering if anyone had any tips or stories to share....

I don't post on Blog to Lose very often but today is a day to celebrate...even if it's something small. I ran 3kms this week for the first time in 3 yrs and for someone over 100kgs thats pretty good. I haven't run much since having my second child and after months of walking and not being able to run for longer than a couple of minutes my personal trainer stood next to me on the treadmill and made me do 1 km. 2 weeks later I'm up to 3kms on my own.

And it wasn't that hard either...and then she made me do half an hour of weights. Yay for me :)

Hi - I started running about a year ago, using the C25K program to work into running 3 miles - 3 times week by the end of November 2007 and then progressed on with Hal Higdon's Half Marathon online schedule for novices...I keep going and joined a marathon training group in my area to work towards a 20K trail run race at the end of May. I ran a 5K in April, a 12K in the beginning of May, and then my 20K trail run at the end of May --- after reaching those goals, summer coming, vacations...my schedule lessened - I didn't get as many miles in for sure...so I've been "running" but more inconsistently I should say since then...NOW I want to get on a schedule and see if I can do a 25K at the end of February - if nothing else I will do the run and walk more if I need to - just to say I did it. I love trail running and my goal is to be in more trail run races, keep exploring new trails, and eventually do a 30K too....I love how running makes me feel, I love what it has done for my legs, and I want more of it...Just have to get my booty out the door and do it now...

I ran a half once...and I don't think I will do it again...toenails just didn't make it =) When I first got back into running...after being a runner before I was almost mad at myself because I couldn't even run for 5 mins...but over time I worked my way back up...so slow and steady is the way to go for sure. If you are in a rut try some interval workouts...I downloaded two off iTunes but you can make your own. The one I like and I use to really push myself is 30 mins long...5 min warm up, 4 min fast, 5 recover, 4 fast, 5 recover, 4 as fast as I can, cool down.....I love it and I always try to get a more distance each time I do it.

Hi Everyone: I'm a former half marathoner who moved, got incredibly depressed, stopped running altogether, when I got it together, I got pregnant, had two kids in 18 months, and now I"m back and ready. Happy as can be...and I LOVE running - I'm 219 pounds, and have a long way to go...but I"m dying to run another half - and maybe, hopefully a full marathon. Those are my long term goals for sure! I just joined BTL last night and am so psyched to be back to blogging (I was on Roni's former site too). I was really glad to find this board!

Hi everyone, just joined BTL last night. I started running in January and slowly and steadily built my way up over the year. I ran a 5km, 8km, and couple 10 kilometre races and over the summer trained for my first half marathon. I haven't been running lately. I really lost all motivation with the cooler temperatures and dark nights. Once I get the kids to bed all I want to do is curl up on the couch by the fire. I decided to sign up for a half marathon clinic this winter to keep me motivated. Hopefully the commitment to a group of people will be enough to get my lazy butt out the door! My goal race is called the hypothermic half-sounds warm ha ha! Anyway looking forward to swapping stories and keeping each other motivated over the winter months.

I started running with the C25K in May, 2008. I can now run for 60 minutes, but am just starting to work on getting a little faster. I signed up for my very first 5K (at least the first one in the last 25 years!). It's on Sunday Nov 2 and I'm getting psyched! What do I need to know before I run??? Any ideas?

Tomorrow I am starting the Run/Walk program for my first 5K in a while. I want to take it slow so I do not get hurt or feel too overwhelmed.....here goes nothing!

I am working towards a 10K (my first race) with my little brother on Thanksgiving morning. I ran 4 miles yesterday! (Started running 3 weeks ago)

Hello, I started running in March 2008 and I just love it. I did a few 5K and I would like to do a half-marathon next year.

I use the iPod + Nike+, I run mostly outside but with the cold weather coming soon I'll run on the treadmills at home. I live in Canada, near Ottawa.
