Congrats Ladies!
We're on to Phase Two, making us one phase closer to living our Best Lives. Here's a run-down of our goals for this stage!

Time Frame
A minimum of four weeks. At the end of this phase, you should be within 20lbs of goal weight or at your goal weight - ready to move on to maintenance!

Weigh In
The first day of this phase, then again once a week

Focus
Significant and consistent weight loss brought by understanding and controlling your hunger and making a few dietary changes.

Objectives
* Build on the changes you made in Phase One
* Increase your activity level at least one level (optional)
* Understand the physical nature of your hunger
* Understand the emotional reasons for your hunger
* Use the hunger scale
* Eat reasonable portions
* Remove six empty or problem foods from your diet.
(soda, foods that contain trans fats, fried foods, white bread, regular pasta, and high-fat dairy products)

Let's do this ladies! We owe it to ourselves to be living our Best Life EVER =) I'm really excited by the progress we've all made, and I can't wait to see the lbs dropping off of each of us. We've got a lot of hurdels in this phase, so don't forget to start Discussions and check in on the wall!

Kris and Kristine - if you haven't read The Best Life Diet, you should see if your local library has it (mine did). There's a lot in there about WHY he doesn't want you to jump on the scale during the first four weeks that makes sense and removes a lot of the anxiety of not knowing what the number is.

Hey ladies!!
Don't feel bad about checking the scale - whatever works for YOU! =) I've stayed off of it ... but wow, is the temptation there! I snuck a late night snack in last night - That's really hard!!

Hang in there ladies! I hope you're all having a great weekend, and moving moving moving! I gotta get these pounds gone. haha

OK, I'll fees up too. I got on the scale yesterday at the Jazzercise center. It is my "official" scale and I usually weigh in once a week when losing and once a month when maintaining. I had a 1 lb loss, which is good since I am in losing mode. I wanted to check since I just started counting calories for the first time ever and wanted to make sure I had the right number as my daily target. I'm not sure if I will weigh in again next week. Might try to stay off it until the end of phase one since I proved to myself that I can do it.

Hey Kris and everyone - I also got on my scale... and as I expected saw a little gain (well if 2.5 is little...). The summer is hard for me because we have a lot of events, birthdays, barbecues etc. I found without the scale I was slacking my calorie counting, weighing/measuring food and it just goes down hill from there. I am reading The Best Life Diet so perhaps it will show me the mindset I need to be in before I hide the scale again, but for now, I've realized that its important for me to stay on track. I'm still trying to follow all the other guidelines though.

Hey y'all--had to get on the scale this morning. Between the end of year, the renovations on the apt (half a month and counting for a stupid washer/dryer), and a few days of insomnia I found myself starting to panic that my habits were slipping and I'd be looking at some huge increase in 20 days time. Even so, going from a twice-a-day check to once in about a week is definitely an improvement. And the number reassured me of what my jeans had been saying all along: I'm maintaining, and all is right with the universe. So, the scale is back in the closet and I think I can trust my instinct (and my habits) for the next 20 days. Now, *that's* a liberating thing!

Hi all. EmilyRose, I also tried taking fish oil but had issues with it. Glad to know it wasn't just me. :)

Welcome Kristine and Kris!

I have a multi for women that I'm going to use just until I find something better. I got the 'get on the scale' feeling this morning and then remembered it wasn't there anymore. I actually felt relieved! Now its breakfast and then off to work! I'll blog more later :)

Have a great day!

Welcome Kristine! =) I decided to pick up a multivitamin for Women. I used to take Fish Oil, but it made my stomach weird.
