I'm feeling like this the week. It's been raining almost every day and the day it didn't (yesterday) I got home late and Chris (being so wonderful and helpful) already had dinner started so we couldn't go biking right when I got home and then it ended up getting dark before we could go. I need to find some kind of indoor or office work out (ugh, I sit/stand all day long and lately with my extra energy, it has just been driving me nuts). I think I'm going to go to the library and check out the DVD section for some workout idea. I'd love to get a Wii, but unfortunately right now it is just not in the cards. Any ideas?
One question to ask on nights when your boy is being thoughtful: can we let the dinner sit for a half hour and go for a walk? Let it cool a little, let the flavors mingle, and sharpen your appetite a bit by walking. There are also plenty of places online to find exercises to do at your desk--some are silly, and most depend on how comfortable you are doing such things in a public place. I know how you feel with the extra energy. Since I teach, I make a point of finding reasons to loop the campus periodically during the day (it helps that I'm waaaaay out in a trailer). Depending again on how comfortable you are, the stretchy exercise bands fit easily in a purse and you can get some real good burn in your arms while sitting and doing other things.
