Not planning any kids at the moment, but maybe in the next few years. I'd have to lose way more weight or I imagine my baby and I would be at risk for everything.
Heather Comment by Heather on April 5, 2009 at 10:04pm
Hey ladies!! I'm Heather and I'm 21, I'm not trying to have a baby yet, but the doctor said that if I don't have one before 25 I probably won't be able to have one, so I'm starting the weight loss and getting my body ready now, if it happens I'm not going to be upset. I'm in a serious relationship and we've discussed it. If it happens then it happens.

I know a lot of people think 21 is too young, and so do I, but when you have a doctor telling you that after 25 you probably won't be able to carry successfully and it can cost not only the baby's life but your own, 21 seems like the best time to start preparing.

I've got about 40lbs to lose before I'm back at a healthy weight to have a baby without as many complications, and I'm actively reducing that number.

Another month, no ovulation. *sigh* We aren't "trying" yet, but it would be nice to have some reassurance that getting pregnant is a possibility. I'll be going back to the doctor in June to see what our options are now.

Hi, my name is Jacquie. I have a 7 1/2 month old son and my hubby and I are wanting to conceive again. Right now I've completed my 3rd day on the 30 Day Shred and I'm pumped. I'm going to combine it with a colon cleanse and I should see some results soon! My goal is to lose 30 lbs. I started at 161lbs. not being able to shed those last 5 lbs, but I did on my own. Before I started the Shred I was 156lbs. and I plan to be 130lbs. in less than 4 months!

I am formally TheLadyCampbell and I am no longer participating in this group due to my recent divorce. Thanks for all the support you ladies have offered and best of luck in getting healthier and conceiving.

So i've decided that I want to start prepping my body for when the time comes that i am ready to have a baby!! I started my weight loss journey at 289 lbs, and so far am down to 268, i feel that the best weight for me to be to prepare for a baby is at 165, so i have 103 more lbs to lose before i can even start thinking about it!! I realize i'm only 24 and probably won't have kids for years to come, but i need to start doing right by my body, so that if i'm fortunate enough to be given the gift of life, it will help me through the pregnancy and onto becoming a great mom!!

I've got a Q for y'all.... I'm at 200lbs (lost 22lbs) and am trying to determine what is a min healthy weight to be at before starting a family. I'm 5ft6" my max weight is suggested at 155lbs. I'm torn between starting a family soon so don't think I'll get to 155lbs within 6months... has anybody done research on this kind of thing? Overall, I'm in really good health and am followig the Weight Watchers Core program which is all about eating unprocessed food, etc. Your insight is much appreciated. Thanks.

Ladies, wanted to share some good news... I am 8 weeks pregnant! I feel very blessed and am happy to have lost the weight I did. The doctor is not concerned about my weight and isn't considering me at risk for it. Woohoo! What classifies me "at risk" is being 35 for a month when I deliver. :-)

I dunno...mine do. They just look a bit different than usual, but mine are under the box that says "my friends" on the left.
