Update Profile Appearance

I have for the longest time tried to change my profile appearance to one of the sample ones provided. I did have it set at one time to one of the themes but when I tried to update it, it changed my profile automatically back to default. Since then I've given up, but today i thought to try and check see if it worked and it's still the same. Am I doing something wrong? I mean, how hard could it be right? You just click on a theme and hit save. What am I missing here? Any help would be great thanks :)

SO sorry for the late response!

They made a change to the system where only the blog would take on the theme. I think this is what you are referring to. Let me know if youa re still having issues!
