Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

Hi, I'm new to BTL. First off, thanks for creating this wonderful community!

OK, so my problem is, I don't live in the States. I live in Asia, and would really like to be able to have my blog posts show the correct times posted. I know I can manually set the date and time, but if I do so, then all I end up doing is setting up the draft to be published in the future (when the US reaches that time.)

So my question is, is there a way I can do this? If not, it doesn't really matter (but would have been nice.) Thanks!

Becca,

I'm not sure what you are asking. When you say correct times you mean your time or "our" time.

What's happening now? It should post in your time zone. Is it not doing this?

BTW Welcome! :)

Roni:

Right now, say if I'm posting at 4am Saturday (in Hong Kong) and I select 'publish now', the time displayed on my blog would be 3pm Friday -which is exactly the time difference between Hong Kong and the US East Coast.

Thanks for helping!

OK, BUT you want it to say 4AM

Now I get it! LOL

Let me look into this.... I thought it was doing the opposite as in displaying for you, your time and for me mine.

From what I can tell, the network uses the time zone of where it was created. Which would be EST ( me)

However, I was still under the impression that time would display locally for users based on their zone. I must be wrong.

I'm not sure there is a way to fix. I'll keep looking though.

It always says I post at 3 a.m., when it's just 1 a.m. where I am ... if that helps.
