I just want to know dose oatmeal stick to your ribs??? because i hear peaple say oh it is so good for weight lose because it keep you full for a long time. So i'am really go to try and eat more oatmeal and i will let you know how it go.GOOD LAXATIVE LOL.
I make the "old fashioned" oatmeal. I add 2 tablespoons canned pumpkin, Splenda and pumpkin pie spice to the oatmeal/water mix - it's delicious and boosts the fiber and nutrients!
I've been buying the Quaker Weight Control Oatmeal, suppose to keep you full even longer, it works for me, sorta. I either sprinkle some walnuts on it, have some scrambled eggs, or a "veggie" breakfast sausage to go with it. Hope that helps....
I personally love oatmeal and I always have. There are so many different varieties to try don't stop at just one. You can always add things to it to change it up and sweeten it with Splenda, Equal or the sweetner of your choice. Find one that's friendly to whatever plan you've choosen and you have found a warm comfort food for breakfast that is delicious and filling.
i'am sort of scared to put anything in it that might taste nasty to me then i want eat it anymore. it took me for ever to talk myself into eating oatmeal (brown suger).
Oatmeal is a good carb, albeit a starchy one. Like potatoes, pasta, and a few others, it cause me (and some clients have mentioned this as well) to hold on to water weight. Ive found beans (kidney beans, black beans, etc) to be a great alternative source of carbs/fiber with minimal effects on blood sugar and water .
I'm sure in Chris's professional opinion he may have seen theis in some clients and himself, however it depends on what type of plan you choose as to wether or not this will be "off limits" or ill advised. I personally listen to my body and pretty much eat what I like, this has been working well for me so far. Today makes my 1 month mark on my journey and I have lost 11 lbs and have eaten oatmeal during this time. I've also had fast food or gone out to eat a few times so your body may react differently. Another thing I do that most people don't is drink tons of water. I drink 1/2 my body weight in ounces per day. I am used to this though, if you are not and want to try it you may want to work yourself up to it to deter that "sloshy" feeling or running to the restroom too often.
are you doing the point's, and have you only been doing this for one month? i started on 4/24/08 and i have lost only 6lbs as of 6/8/08 when i weighed. I was 212lbs for two weeks in between now i'am 210lbs.So i'am losing slowly i guess that is okay.
