I have noticed a trend in my life. After reading some books on babies, I have seen a lot of authors (though certainly not all) talk about getting structure to your baby's day. BIG News!

I am so terrible at blogging. I've still been reading, just not posting. I've been rather busy with wedding planning. March 21st is quickly approaching. We're so happy and ready for our big day!

Mother of two going crazy!

So I gave birth to my second child a boy a month ago. Im at home on maternity leave with the newborn and an active (almost) four year old. Its cold and snowy outside and all I seem to be doing is laundry, laundry more laundry and snacking! Its really bad. Today is my first day of weight watchers! Ive done weight watchers before and its worked great! So here is hoping another victory! :)

20 Amazing Minutes

Today is a good day. It just feels right. This morning I woke up early before the alarm went off. I felt refreshed and not dead dog tired like I usually do. I was pleasantly surprised since last night I couldn't fall asleep. I got ready and walked 30 minutes on the treadmill at 3.5 mph. When I got done I realized that I had a full 20 minutes before I had to get Tommy up for school. Usually I would spend that time rushing around doing this or that around the house. Snap, Crackle, Pop, Ouch!

On Sunday I started to notice that my knees were hurting whenever I would stand up, sit down, squat down or go up and down stairs. Standing, sitting and walking felt fine, but the transition was painful. Yesterday, I woke up and did 30 Day Shred Level 2, pushed through the pain and then it was so painful that stairs almost brought me to tears. I spent a good chunk of last night like this

February 8, 2010 - Day 1

Day 1 done, not necessarily succesfully, but I have to start somewhere and it can only get better.


I am catching up from being at my daughter's State Dance Team Competition all weekend so my physical activity was unpacking, doing laundry and chasing after my daycare kiddos - they brighten my day with their little personalities.



Journaling my food, but will begin completly journaling tomorrow with activity, calories, etc. I have to start somewhere and this is a start.

Run Forest Run!

So while on the treadmill at the gym the unthinkable happened! My iPhone crashed and I lost some run data! Bah Nike+, bah iPhone!


The funny part is... Normally I would have put in another 15 minutes, grumbling the whole time and stopped. Instead, i rebooted my iPhone, continued to run and put 30 minutes onto my Nike+ after the crash. That had me on the treadmill for 46 minutes of running! Over 50 minutes including cool down. Go me, go me! I will admit that it was motivated,
